In summary

Meadowbrook Golf Club receives praise for its well-maintained greens and fairways, with many appreciating the challenging and scenic layout. However, some visitors report issues with slow pace of play and overcrowding, as well as mixed experiences with staff professionalism. While the course offers a rewarding experience for many, others suggest improvements in management and amenities like a driving range.

One of the worst golf experiences I’ve had, and honestly the only time I’ve felt my kid was unsafe on a course. The biggest issue happened with the group behind us. We later found out the guy was an off-duty course marshal. Even though we were waiting on every shot like everyone else, he repeatedly hit into our group. Twice his ball landed within about 10 feet of my 12-year-old son. That should never happen on a golf course. When we confronted him, instead of apologizing he started swearing and acting like we were the problem. Completely unprofessional behavior from someone who supposedly wo…

As for the positives, it's in the metro and the greens are in good condition. Apart from that, it's pretty bad. Course is always packed. The guy in the club house that helped check me in on Memorial Day threw my card back at me; seems like a great guy! Fairways are in terrible condition. I've never seen tee boxes in such poor condition in the month of May. None of the holes are super exciting. If you're simply looking to just play golf, this course is fine, but you're better off travelling a little further outside the cities for something better. Disappointing to see a city course in this…

First time golfing today at meadow Brooke, Sundays are league scrambles I guess so that really hurt the pace of play, tee time was 9:04 but didn’t start on first hole until about 930-935. Course fairways and greens are kept in good condition, waited at almost every single hole for the group ahead of us and 1 or 2 holes where 2 groups ahead were on green, 5 hour for 18 holes with 3 players, price on beer, food and snacks are fairly priced, overall good course and would recommended for any average golfers to try out in the Hopkins area.

This is the nicest public golf course in the area, in my opinion. The greens are well kept as are the fairways. The carts are run of the mill, But they get the job done. I've never had an issue with pace of play although sometimes it is busier than others but that's to be expected. This staff is always been friendly. The prices are good, and they usually have good drinks and snacks at the first tea box. There are some more challenging holes in the terrain is interesting. Very excited for the new shop to open up!

Course is decent for the price. Some of the staff were incredibly rude, and it appears someone took an item from from the lost and found after I called and they told me they had it. I would play somewhere else, lots of options, not worth the hassle.

Had a blast at Meadowbrook with a friend and got to see the start of the fall colors in the trees; very scenic. The course is in very good condition and the consistency of the greens were very true. Friendly staff helped checked us in and the starter was a great guy. We will be back soon!

Starter states scrambles are slow. We're waiting for groups ahead at each hole. Ps don't drive you're cart off the path. Looks like Jurassic Park, cart sunk up to the axles by an early group.

Meadowbrook is a challenging golf course in many ways. It’s a really tough walk. If you don’t like lots of hills, you’ll be happy you got a cart. It’s not as extreme as Wirth, but it’s close. Meadowbrook is always in great shape. The greens this year, 2025, are simply fabulous. Smooth, firm, and fast. Lots of local knowledge is needed to play Meadowbrook well, there are many blind shots and blind landing areas, so you’ll need to play it a few times to figure out where to aim, etc. I try to play Meadowbrook whenever I can. I’ll certainly be back.

The course was in great shape. The back 9 is amazing with some different blind shots but can reward you with a good shot.

Decent course and good greens for the city but poorly managed. Don’t be surprised to play a 5 hour round as they will send a group of walking little kids on the back right in front of you while you’re making the turn and then tell you to just be patient. Also, why spend millions of dollars on a clubhouse that is basically just a check in station. Horrible use of tax dollars. And, no driving range.
