Cordova Golf Course

This place is great for getting in a round of golf for a low rate and great customer service! I’ve also received lessons from Don and he dropped 8 points off my handicap with a handful of lessons. Another under rated perk is their range has grass to can hit off of. They don’t have the fancy trackman software but I’ll take that fact I can practice on real grass. The course is highly dependent on season, the last review went during dead of winter which can spotted growth. If you are low handicap or CC kind of player, you may find this course underwhelming. 1 star because at least there’s a bathroom on the course, but not a single fairway. You’re just teeing off a patch of grass onto another patch of grass. There’s gotta be 20 different species of grass on each hole, if there’s any grass at all on some of them. Imaging hitting a stinger straight down the middle just for there to be a patch of rock hard dirt. The greenskeeper gotta be blind or something. Do not recommend.

Cordova Golf Course is a beautiful, well maintained course lush with trees, flowering bushes, and other vibrant plants. Doug, the manager, is extremely professional, respectful, and provides outstanding customer service. The course is extremely affordable, and perfect for golfers of all levels.

I came in and asked a young lady about lessons. She took down my info and I purchased a basket of golf balls. The store lent me some golf clubs to practice on the range. I really had fun. I've been back a couple of times. A nice inexpensive place to have fun.

We showed up to our tee time on 4/27/2026 just to be told the greens were being aerated and only the back 9 was available to play. Fine but the fairways were absolute trash. It felt like hitting into the rough. I shouldn't watch my ball disappears if I'm in the fairway. It was extremely busy and pace of play was extremely slow. Groups in front of us were purposely taking multiple tee shots and disrespectful of groups behind them. To top it all off....the food on course, Beach Hut Deli, gave us all food poisoning! This is concerning my golf ⛳ experience at Rancho Cordova Golf Course on June 9th 2024 I have to admit that the fair ways were well kept an the Greens were smooth and fast, very professional as was the pro shop as the pro at the front desk was helpful and answered all my questions aside from selling me a state of the art Driver, at a reasonable price and it worked like a charm, our electric cart went out half way through and we called in and it was replaced in 10 minutes, I was impressed and amazed. This course deserves 5 stars for the price. Despite being a budget course, its fairways and greens are still reasonably maintained. We went on a Friday afternoon and literally didn't have anyone behind or in front of us the whole day. The course is straight and short with fewer hazards than most, making it a good place for a quick game. I was concerned that this wouldn't even be worth playing on, but ultimately it was perfect for us, and as much as I could expect from an inexpensive course.

Called the proshop if they had my wedge I left on the course, to which they said they had it. Went to go pick it up a couple weeks later and it’s not there. Employee probably took it. Would not recommend.

New management is making great improvements. Cordova is a low-key, city-managed golf course. We stopped playing there due to the goose poop that stuck to everything. We were happy to see that the geese are gone, several cart paths have been fixed, and the course is in much shape. I look forward to continuing to support Cordova and see more improvements. And the onsite Beach Hut Deli and beer on tap doesn't hurt either.

pretty terrible course. overbooked tee times, the fairway is completely terrible. greens are bad 2 out of 5 times. not worth going here for the price at all.

This was our first time playing Cordova and will be our last.we teed off at 4:10 and asked the lady in the pro shop if it was a busy afternoon, she responded with no it’s just twilight league starting at 5 but they only tee off on the front 9 holes. After getting to the ninth hole we see that they are actually teeing off on both 1&10. The old timer calls us in to the pro shop over the intercom to inform us that we will not be able to tee off on the back for another 40 minutes or so.
