Corica Park Golf Club

Best public course ( North course) I have played on in California. Undulating fairways and pretty fast greens. Very well maintained, professional managing, and yes, even restrooms are cleaner than in a nice hotel! Kudos to the team!!

Played the North Course a week ago. It's a brand new course, but I left disappointed. The fairways are not even green, all brown like a Texas course, not pleasant to look at. Only two things good about the course: Greens were good and rolling fast. Bunkers were fun like Links style! For what they're charging, you can play at a much nicer course somewhere else! They need to drop their rates, make North cheaper than South

My wife and I have been playing both the North and South Courses at Corica Park more often, and every round feels like a deep breath of calm. I have played all the great courses in England, Scotland, Ireland, Bandon Dunes, Sand Pines, National Golf Links and many other links or links like courses out of 925 played so far in my lifetime. My round at Corica was as enjoyable and most of them. Please get players to repair pitch marks. Afraid that most "Muny" players don't appreciate what they have. Hope they can be educated to treat it like a great private club. I told friends I found Scotland & Bandon Dunes in the middle of Alameda. It's a jewel do all you can to protect it.

I come here for the driving range but this Corica has two 18 hole courses (one almost complete with its multi-year renovation), and a par 3 - 9 hole that’s quite nice. It’s PUBLIC!!! It’s close to the Oakland airport and waterways so it just seems so wide open. It’s a local favorite.

Gorgeous links style course with great views and amazing conditions. The greens were fast, large and challenging. Bunkers were positioned well and the course is a good test from the black and blue combo. The rough can be very difficult so keep it in short grass to have a good chance to score here. The longest par 3 can play about 250 yards so fair warning if you decide to play from the tips. 😁👍 Overall value and customer service was excellent! I'll be back.

Very fun course! Tee boxes and greens are in phenomenal conditions. Layout is pretty wide open which makes it really fun. Bunkers have sand which is nice. Only docking it bc of the price. With the advanced fee and not being a resident it was $150+ which is just to steep for what you get.

North Course got a facelift and now’s it’s got mar a lago face. Expensive. Guy in pro shop claimed it was a top 5 muni. I don’t know where he got that. Been playing alameda for 25 years. South course is ok. The more you play it the more one dimensional it becomes. Both metro and monarch are more interesting. Turf and drainage at Corica park definitely sets the courses apart. Both are excellent. North course used to be a rundown Billy Bell muni with a great routing and a ton of potential. Very nice design with European links style. Bunkers are very penal and strategically placed. Greens were very fast, but received shots well. A little overpriced for the condition of the course, and the really tax you if you don't live in Alameda. They really should honor a 10 mile radius. That would be nice.😏 The practice facility is really good, and the short game membership is tempting, but a little too pricey for me. Corica Park is fun, and has great family and community vibes.

The practice facilities are great. Good driving range and short game area. The short game green is in immaculate shape especially considering how much play it gets. All the putts roll very true. Really feels like you’re putting on tour quality greens. The staff was friendly and the food was good. I played the new North course recently. Overall, it’s on its way to being a nice course but they’re still very much in the development phase. No cart paths finished yet, yardage markers, trash cans, ball washers, etc. You can only walk the course right now and with it being unfinished the price point…

I like Corica pretty much, but will I pay 50+ USD to play 9 holes at North course again? （ BTW, walking) Answer is a no-brainer NO. Not much design here at Corica, only thing is that the green is challengingly lots of ups and downs.

Best conditions for public golf in the region, course redesigns are fantastic. Lots of whining about price in reviews but courses nearby have raised their rates to match Corica and they offer much inferior products.
