Redwood Canyon Golf Course

Came here for the driving range so I won’t comment on the course which looked ok from the clubhouse. The driving range is off mats and into a pond. That said, we arrived on a Sunday morning and were informed that there were no range balls to be had. I hope they get to fix whatever is broken.

Surprisingly, this is such a nice public course not far from cities, like especially their driving range, first time seeing a range with a nice pond view. Like the way their holes are short but they do a good job hide the greens via curves, like Hole 1 and 11, particularly Hole 11, the green is a big slope facing you, your approach shot needs to be 5-7 yards more to compensate the roll back. Lots of short par4, you should be able to get on the greens in 2 shots, but the point is that the greens are tricky to putt. This is one of the most serene public golf courses I’ve played in the Bay Area. I love all the creeks that traverse the course. It’s set in a beautiful valley, hidden from any residential and commercial buildings. The course it self is fairly flat and extremely fun to play for novices like me. One of my favorite courses. Was a beautiful place to have my buddy's wedding. Ana the wedding coordinator lady was great. The photographer as well was great and very well organized and pretty quick with the pictures. The event was great and the staff were all fantastic. Would definitely recommend for a wedding or event.

Went to Meadows Bistro it was basis food(like sandwich basic)pleasant staff,view was peaceful and beautiful.Ourside seating, entrance is in the front however sign is to small!..parking in back

What a fun course, Redwood Canyon surprised me by its challenge and beauty. Built into an amazing wooded canyon, this lush par 71 was a tight property that really transported you away from the Bay Area. The course was in good shape and the vibe was perfect for a relaxed round of golf but keep an eye on your ball because there are a lot of hazards from large trees and many creeks. I highly recommend this one if you are in the East Bay.

Actually, for a public course and the price of golf with a cart, my rating should be a 4 1/2. And I bet you if I had been there once all of the renovations were done (drainage, etc) it would have been a 5. First, and most important for me, the people who golf here are laid back and real. Second, it's not a terribly difficult course. Third, it is well priced. As someone who may have a couple Coors Lights and need to pee at some point, they could use an extra bathroom along the course. Great place to start a jog or hike up the Brandon trail. It's pretty steadily uphill for a while but you're rewarded with the best friggin view of the bay once you get there.

Great value! Beautiful course, and so serene. Really interesting as well with tight fairways. And the wind made it like a sunny Scotland.

Good public course, not busy at all on a Sunday. Flat terrain, some crossing creeks. Lots of geese, but good value for the price.

Great for beginners like me, price was not too bad, beautiful scenery. Wild turkeys and deers with their fawn, roaming around enjoying the nature. Lot’s of golfers were walking. Greens were nicely maintained, fairways were wide, I would probably go again.

This course had been getting better until the atmospheric rivers dumped all over it and flooded it badly. It is now closed indefinitely until it dries out and repairs can be made. This will likely take several months
