In summary

The Country Club of the Poconos Municipal Golf Course is praised for its beautiful layout, unique holes, and scenic views, making it a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers. The staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating, and the addition of GPS-equipped carts enhances the overall experience. However, some visitors mention that the tee boxes and fairways need improvement, and the long distances between holes can lead to slower rounds. New management is reportedly working on course improvements, which many hope will address these issues.

I paid $28 to play here! That is the cheapest round of golf I have ever paid. I expected this course to be a dog track for that price but was pleasantly surprised that it was in great shape. The course was short but tight and challenging. Greens we healthy, running a little slot but consistent and the tee boxes could use a little work. All in all I highly recommend playing here. The pro shop staff was friendly and welcoming too.

I’ve played most of the public courses with in 30 minutes of marshals creek and this one is definitely at the top of the list for me. First, the staff was great. Don’t let the “country club” in the name intimidate you. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and as a non resident outsider I’ve gotten less than stellar treatment at other semi private courses. The course itself is super interesting. It plays short and narrow and certainly makes you think about your tee shot but a good decision off the tee and precise approach shot will reward you with a true rolling green to give you a lo…

One of the best layouts of any courses we've played! Fairways, tee boxes and even some greens pretty burnt out, but still worth it just for the layout. Par 70. Could use a ranger due to some people struggling, We played today in 5 hours and change. Last 5 holes were pretty good pace, so the group holding everyone up must have finished! New management, so hopefully improvements coming! Course could be one of the best in the Poconos with some improvements!

I'm giving this a 3 because I understand there is new ownership. I don't envy them in how far this course has to go to get back to it's best and how big a task it will me. Look, it's got something like 13 in miles of cart path over the hills and through lots and lots of woods. At one point we missed a turn in a neighborhood and were in the backyard of someone's house, down their long driveway. ON the flip side, and you can see from this picture, this course has some crazy beautiful views that if they can get grass back on the guitars and clean up the gravel in some of the rough, there's a me…

Not an easy course at all. Be prepared to lose a lot of golf balls. Course layout great!. Kid friendly!. You’re driving through entire neighborhoods to get to the next tee!. It’s an amazing course that will take you long to finish, just because you’ll be driving for so long. There’s no such thing as walking this course!.😂. I think anyone and everyone should try this course!. Very very very tough course.

If you want to play a relatively short, but difficult course, The Poconos Club is for you. It's a beautiful, well-kept course, but the hazards are killers. Expect to lose some balls. Three years ago, my friend (a duffer like me) lost 19 balls. The trip from hole to hole is an interesting ride through the countryside, along roads and through neighborhoods. Each cart has a sophisticated GPS that directs you to the next tee box. It's impressive. The GPS screen can also be used as a digital scorecard. Greens fees are very reasonable. When my friends and I play a challenging course, we play best ba…

Early in the season so there are a few tees that need grass but the fairways and greens are very nice. Best I have seen the course in years for this time of year. Only a few really wet spots after all the rain. New ownership and friendly pro shop. Looking for to more rounds and watching the course develop.

Played here for the first time ever. It's late April, so early in the golf season. Greens were alittle slow but in overall great shape. Excited to see how fast they are peak season. Some tee boxes could use some love but overall it was a very fun and enjoyable course. Loved that alot of par 4 made you think and it wasn't just rip driver. Lots of driving from hole to hole which can make for a longer round if busy. Overall enjoyed it alot and will definitely be back a bunch

The new owners are definitely getting this place back into shape. The golf carts now have gps to tell you where to go and you can play music from it also.

Beautiful views but long drives in between holes leads to a 5.5 hour round of golf. Greens were punched and no sand to make them decent to putt on. Fill in the punch marks and it wouldn't have been so bad. For the price we enjoyed the round. Its challenging and corky. Tee boxes are dirt and weeds. I doubt we would ever come back for many reasons

I honestly never golf, but I was really impressed with this course. Very beautiful and natural. Not easy but manageable. The staff were extremely accommodating and so helpful. I think they just took over the course and are working hard to make everything flow well. Great day.
