In summary

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is appreciated for its beautiful setting, historic charm, and friendly staff, with the golf course, spa, and brewery being standout features. However, some guests express concerns about the outdated and poorly maintained rooms, noise levels, and inconsistent customer service. While the resort offers a variety of activities and amenities, some visitors feel improvements in room cleanliness and maintenance are needed.

We recently stayed at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort for two nights and paid $580, which honestly set a certain level of expectation for us. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. As soon as we walked into the room, the floor was extremely dirty. When my husband took off his shoes, his feet were completely covered in dirt. That is simply unacceptable for any hotel, especially at this price point. Cleanliness should be the absolute minimum standard. I called the front desk to ask if they had disposable hotel slippers or flip-flops (which many hotels provide), and they seemed surpris…

The condition of the rooms were poor in comparison to the price. The furniture was in very poor condition, the bathroom shower stall was so small making it hard to move from one spot. There are barely any outlets, the doors and walls were in poor condition and the beds were okay. Customer service was fair and the employees act like you’re bothering them if you ask questions, get defensive and aren't friendly. 🌟 The SPA was VERY GOOD! We enjoyed our massages, everyone was very nice and professional. The small gym has no ventilation, smelled like chlorine which made it very difficult to breathe…

Amazing Old World Charm!! We stayed here for New Year’s with three families and had such a great experience. The location is incredibly convenient—close to everything. We went tubing during the day and came back to so many fun activities for the kids, including the indoor pool and a fantastic New Year’s party. The staff truly made our stay special. Brian at the front desk went out of his way to help one of our friends who booked later than the rest of us stay in the main hotel rather than being placed in the other building, which was a bit of a walk. We were beyond thrilled and so appreciati…

We booked 2 nights stay at the very last minute with our CC rewards points and credit card hotel credit (soon expiring). Given the history of the building and beautiful scenery, I was very pleased with the trip until the nights. 1. Noise level: Unlike some hotels I have stayed at, there aren't many drunk party people here but these walls are so thin. I literally heard everybody's business at night. First night, my husband called to see if we can be moved to more quiet area and we were told all the rooms were booked. I mean... it's January and we didnt see THAT many people on the property. Howe…

My family had such a great experience at the Shawnee Inn! There was so much to do during the snow storm. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating. I really appreciated Kyle the security guard. But truly everyone I came into contact with was amazing. The hot tub and pool area has such a great vibe. My favorite part!

Stayed here for a Saturday night while skiing at Shawnee and had a great time. The location can’t be beat, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was worth it to fuel up before skiing. The only complaints being that the walls are pretty thin so you can hear everything going on around you. However, the hotel has an old charm to it that you can’t find anywhere else. Would recommend!

The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort has always been a special place for me. I first played here when I was 16 years old, and ever since then I’ve tried to play at least once a year whenever I’m back in town. There’s just something classic and relaxing about this course and property that keeps bringing me back. The course is always in great shape, the scenery is beautiful, and the history of the place makes every round feel memorable. If you’re planning a golf outing, definitely ask for JJ, the Sales Director. Great guy who truly takes care of people and makes the whole experience easy and enjoyab…

I will never visit this place again. I don’t like to give bad reviews but I took my family of 8 for the first time here and felt ashamed at the experience we had. Upon arrival, one of our 3 rooms had a bug that looked like a tick. I called it in and a man came in and said oh yeah that seems like it could be a tick. I’ll grab it with a tissue and glue it down the toilet. Then asked if he could do anything else. We requested a change of sheets but since it was 10pm already the cleaning staff had apparently left for the day. So we had to go downstairs to the lobby and request for the sheets so we…

This is a historic property with amazing staff—everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming. There’s a microwave for heating up food for kids, self-service laundry, a great indoor pool, and a small playground, making it very family-friendly. We visited during Christmas and loved the festive events like photos with Santa, cookies, and hot chocolate. In the summer, there are also fun activities such as axe throwing and pickleball (many available in winter as well). Rooms are small and a bit dated, (one night the boiler was broken so we didn't have hot water for one night, but they fixed the issue…

The resort has its charm , and I can see how it probably was a very nice place many years ago. Really enjoyed the golf. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are in desperate need of repair, updating and better cleaning. We had so many asian lady beetles in the room and bathroom, the invasive kind that look like ladybugs. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom is extremely small with absolutely no counter space and there were broken tiles and the door was shredded completely on the bottom inside. Caulking over what looks like mold or major discoloring between the tiles. Too much toxic disinfectio…

We loved this place because of Delaware River and Pocono mountains location. Gorgeous place to have your wedding. We took the cabin and it was a lot of space to get ready. We were swimming and kayaking while we were there for our wedding weekend. Tabitha wedding coordinator was great as well. We had ceremony outside and dinner was in the venue. The reception food was good. We had our after-party at the Shawnee inn Bar, it was great too, but the only one negative was the pizza we ordered for the after-party, which wasn't good. We highly recommend Shawnee inn wedding with charming and rustic loc…

This location was very close to the Shawnee ski resort and was very affordable. Also they had a really affordable breakfast package that was worth every dollar! The room was very clean and the bed sheets smelled freshly washed. On top of this the employees were extremely friendly and helpful! They also held a bunch of cool events from hiking to smores over a fire outside!
