In summary

Cowan Creek Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, beautiful setting, and accommodating staff, making it a rewarding experience for golfers of various skill levels. The course offers a mix of challenging and easier holes, with smooth greens and a pleasant layout. However, some visitors have noted occasional slow pace of play and the lack of food and beverage services on site. Additionally, there is some confusion about public access to the course and a few reports of unfriendly interactions with staff or residents.

Excellent course! Friendly and helpful staff, entire facility was beautiful. Challenging yet rewarding and the shotgun style was excellent, didn't see a backup until about the 13th hole.

Really well kept and a big sprawling course & range! The pro shop closes a bit early in the day, 6pm. I've struggled to find a public course in Georgetown, so this one was a lucky stumble! There aren't too many signs that show instructions on how to navigate the golf grounds for visitors. I'm not 100% sure if the range and course are for public use or if it's members only - no signs are posted that identify this. Hoping to find out on my next visit.

The course is spectacular! Hands down a well taken care of golf course that is great to play! This is my second time there, but I don't know if I will be back? Why? I got a great deal for a round but was paired up with three guys and told to walk down and find 2 Asian and 1 Mexican guy down on the range. It was 1:10 and TT was 1:46. It took me 30 mins to find these guys and then I had to rush to get my gear, get to the box...was totally rushed and it hampered my round big time. I am an active duty Army Chaplain and drove down from Fort Hood, and didn't appreciate how this was handled. Once aga…

Great course, well maintained, smooth greens that take a ball well. Not crazy difficult, sand bunkers are raked and have plenty sand. Pro shop staff very helpful and cheerful. Especially Harley who made us feel welcome. We played 18 and liked the course layout. Well worth the cost. Which was not high. Recommend this course However no food or drink. There were water jugs available.

Course is in outstanding shape, fairways are surrounded by beautiful neighborhoods and forestry, greens were very fair and the entire area is spotless.

Great course. It's in decent shape, and the layout was great. The greens had excellent roll, but the pace of play was slow due to the foursome in front of me. As a single, i was hoping they would wave me through, but it never happened. Luckily, the called it after 9. Overall, great course & friendly people.

Staff was more than accommodating for our large group. We felt very welcome from the pro shop to the Marshall. The course is in phenomenal shape and the greens were in great shape. Green speeds were a little slower than we are used to but they roll true.

Love this course. Played last weekend, only $40 with a cart. Not crowded at all. Layout is great, conditions were great and the wildlife is unreal. I must have seen 50 dear and turkeys. I think they would have eaten out of my hand if I chose too feed them. The course is not overly difficult so it's great for the average golfer. Only draw back is no food or beverage....BYOB. Highly recommend.
