In summary

Coyote Preserve Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful, challenging layout with significant elevation changes and scenic views, reminiscent of an "up north" golfing experience. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and accommodating, and the course is often in good condition, though some visitors have noted issues with maintenance, such as unraked sand traps and overgrown greens. While many golfers appreciate the course's difficulty and amenities, there are occasional complaints about the pace of play and the value for the price, particularly on busy weekends.

First of all, this course is beautiful. Lots of elevation, and no clear sight to the green. Challenging course to say the least. I do have to say, for the price, I expected a little bit more. The range isn't included and the sand traps were not raked. For the price in the area, I kinda expect that. Especially on the weekend. With that said, I still had a great round overall. It's definitely a course to try.

Very enjoyable experience. Pace of play has been good on one visit and poor another. 3 some in front of us were struggling to hit the ball 30 yards at a time. Pacer speaking with them didnt help, but he tried.Course lay out is very scenic and well marked. Nice mix of challenging holes and fun holes. Course condition has been very nice with a dry summer. Staff has been very pleasant and easy to work with. Refreshments are reasonable. Nice putting green area plus range. I will definitely be back for another 18 holes.

Nice golf course with many elevation changes. Definitely need to be precise off the tee and irons to the green. Really enjoyed playing here. It is a challenge!!

Payed $75 to play today on a Saturday. You would think with weekend play, the course would be in great shape. The course condition was by far the worst I have experienced since play there. Greens had not been cut in days, forget about rolling them. It was like putting on velcro. Holes had not been changed in days, all caved in and rough. All sand traps had not seen a raking in weeks. Grass was dead and brown in many areas. Save you money, so many better courses to play in the area, especially at those prices. Management should be ashamed. I complained to the shop after my round, they simply sa…

First timer. Top notch! Great service! Amazing track! Arnie's touch made it challenging at times but well maintained and scenic. Not one complaint. Worth the hour trip to get there. Plus we left there and ate in downtown Fenton (ton of choices). What a day! I will be back!

Have lived in SE Michigan for 40 years and had yet to play CP, and now I am left wondering why. Great layout with scenic views, fairly large greens with smooth surfaces(sometimes raised with little to no room for error - some damn tough par 3s) and lots fairway bunkers(which as with most Palmer courses are meant for aiming not to be in - good luck!) Paid $89 for a Saturday morning tee time(range balls not included). $15 for 6 domestic beers. Cart girl sightings in 18 holes - 3. Not sure about bathrooms on course - but I will finish by saying it’s heavily wooded in most places!

Coyote Preserve has a wonderful banquet facility with a very friendly and caring staff. The food is all prepared in house and is absolutely delicious. And the presentation is just beautiful. The venue is so elegant when set for an event! And the staff is so helpful and accommodating. They took care of us like we were family!

First time playing it! Course was pretty saturated with the rain we’ve had, but I don’t hold that against it. Fantastic value and quite a challenging track. Elevation changes, forced carries, undulating fairways, and a proper amount of sand bunkers keep you honest and needing to play smart. Playing with a group that’s been on the track before is hugely helpful for target lines. Would recommend!!

Loved this course. Lots of hills, trees, traps, blind shots, gap shots, bunkers, and water. Greens were fast, fairways were well manicured, and tees boxes were acceptable. One of my favorite courses after playing here for the first time. Can be pricey. I paid $22 on Golfnow.

Coyote Preserve is a hidden gem in Fenton. Very hilly beautiful almost tranquil place to play golf! You will feel like you are up north all while being within a subdivision. Challenging , beautiful course!

I heard many great things about this course, but this was so Disappointing round of golf. I paid $70 for tore up fairways, tee boxes and hard sand bunkers. The round was 6 hours and there was no ranger. We waited on every shot. Not to mention the Range had absolutely no grass. On the good side, the greens and the views were good. The best thing was the hotdog at the turn....it was good. I won't be coming back.

Spent 9/18/2025 Golfing the Coyote Preserve with my wife for our 32nd wedding anniversary. Weather was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the course was in Awesome shape for not having any rain in weeks. And the new carts had every possible option, as long as you were smart you didn’t have to worry about the geo fence Will be back when leaves change to really get that Up North feel Thanks!!!
