In summary

Walden Woods Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic layout, challenging course, and welcoming staff, offering a picturesque setting that many find enjoyable. However, some visitors have noted concerns regarding the course's maintenance, particularly the greens and fairways, as well as the high pricing relative to the overall experience. Additionally, there are mentions of slow pace of play and limited amenities, such as food and beverage options, which could be improved to enhance the golfing experience.

Played here 5 years ago before today, 9/5, and was unpleasantly surprised to see the conditions have deteriorated. Fairways need fertilizer as most were light green/brown, also dead spots throughout. Greens were very thin. Tee boxes were mostly brown spots and crabgrass. Cartpath usage requires a mouthguard and maybe a helmet. Extremely disappointed with the lack of signage throughout the course and the entire course empty of the gold tee markers. $75 is much too steep for this track especially mid-week. I will never return. Edit - it was $81 for mid-week. Absolute highway robbery. But if I w…

Way over priced for seniors. Course is ok condition. Lots of divots on tee boxes and fairways. Traps are a joke. They aren’t maintained at all. Very scenic this time of year. There are to many other course that are much better for a lot less

All in all a good experience. Layout is challenging, nice fairways. Some definite late summer issues with crab grass in roughs and some blight on a couple it tee boxes. Greens fast. There seems to be an issue with players having a phobia with fixing their pitch marks. Staff friendly and informative. Value? Not there for the price. Comfortable carts, no GPS, ok I can play with out. But there is no hole placard or hole diagram in the score card. Totally blind unless you have a golf app or just use google maps. This could be a great place.

The Majestic is one of those rare golf courses that lives up to its name. From the moment you arrive, the staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. Whether you’re checking in at the pro shop or grabbing a quick bite at the clubhouse, you’re always treated with genuine hospitality. The course itself is beautifully maintained—every fairway, green, and bunker is in top-notch condition. You can tell the grounds crew takes real pride in their work, and it shows in how clean, lush, and well-kept everything is. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just out for a relaxing round, The Maje…

Beautiful layout in the woods... Terrible greens, outrageous prices, poor maintenance and the worst sand in Michigan......UPDATED 2025: they have put extensive work into the greens, making them faster and as a result rolling more true. Grass is thin and it's a little sandy but it's A huge, huge improvement, best I've seen them roll in the past 9 years. Sand has also been slowly replaced the last couple years as well. Much much better!

One of my favorite courses south east Michigan, just played Sunday morning and was surprised to see all the open tee times late June and not at cloud in the ski. I consider Majestic a premium course and never had a problem paying for it. Took out 100 bill expecting that would cover it. Needed another 5 bucks not even range balls included. Finished 1:00 with parking lot 25% full. Extra couple of bucks left a bad taste in my mouth. Course in good shape. Just felt like the extra 5 or 10 bucks cost them.

This is a beautiful course, whether looking for 9 holes or 18... or if you're crazy, 27 holes! It is challenging enough to get some good practice but not too difficult.

Played 18 holes today at Majestic for the first time in over twenty years. I love what you are doing here, facilities, service, conditions and the views were amazing. Just awesome can't wait to come back, was the perfect place to play with my friends.
