In summary

The Jackal Golf Club at Mt Brighton is appreciated for its challenging layout and scenic views, with many golfers enjoying the unique holes integrated with the ski lift stations. The course is generally well-maintained, offering good value for the price. However, some visitors have noted issues such as unkempt bunkers, lack of course management, and occasional slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience.

This course usually gas some very good specials, so it's a value play. The course is built around a skiing facility, so there are a few gimmick holes. Overall, though, it's a challenging layout. Course conditions are good - - the greens and fairways are in very good shape. On our last visit the sand traps needed a little work. For the price, it's well worth playing.

More like 2.5 stars. The course itself is well laid out and has potential to be really nice. It seems the owners are just sitting back with a skeleton crew allowing the course to function but not making any improvements. The fairways are tight at times but not too bad. Great course (potential) but needs a lot of TLC. Golf cart #57 is a rolling dumpster. The pro shop had no logo balls. I'll come back in 5 years when they decide to run it like a real golf course...

Really nice course. Tight in places for a hack like me, but I enjoyed it. Some cool holes intertwined with the ski lift stations. Black, blue white yellow and red tees offer a full range of challenge.

Decent course. Some fun holes, others could use some work. I think 18 is a great finishing hole. Has a good practice area and a nice 19 th hole. During the winter it's a ski resort which creates some interesting changes in altitudes.

Course was great. Staff members were nice. Only thing that pissed me is was that people kept skipping holes and running up and down the fairway to do it. We weren't slow or holding anyone up either. They just kept jumping around and no ranger out there to prevent it. If they fix that they'd have a gem of a place to golf

It's a love hate relationship with this course. I love the setting and the great views. I hate the whole target golf thing that occurs in several of the holes. You're not going to play many courses with the elevation change that is here. Club selection and shot planning are both serious requirements here.

Very cool course, awesome views, crazy tee shots from atop the ski areas. Prices were good, even for hot dogs and drinks. Not outrageous, like some courses, that are similar.

The day started off ok, although I was surprised that the fairways were not a little better kept. Played the first few holes with no issues at all, until about hole 13 (started on #10 today) when there were some pretty massive bee issues, certianlly not their fault, but id hope the grounds keepers take care of it. No issues until i made the turn and the climb to hole #1 where i encountered an 8some trying to tee off. NOt a ranger in sight, so i gave up. Overall, the course is fun, but im not exactly sure about how management runs it.

Well, where do I start...if you like a traditional golf course, this course is not for you. The first 9 holes are as if you are playing a "putt-putt" golf course. Ridiculous, unrealistic elevation changes. Rolling fairways and many hidden/blind shots. Heavily wooded, many hazards, unkept bunkers, and super heavy rough. Bring your junk balls as you will lose many. The only reason I give this course 2 stars is because the back 9 plays some what to some thing that resembles a regular course. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend.

We had a reservation 3 months out, all locked in for our group event and they cancelled because they had another event that is bigger, so they say. What happened to the first come first serve basis? and the word of assurance? What an unethical way of doing business deals. Won’t recommend this course. This course will not ever get our business ever.

The pro shop has logo balls. The course is in great shape for how hot it has been. It was my first time playing this course. The views are great . It is a good challenging course.

Literally a dump, and step off the cart path and the ranger will blow you up. 6 good holes, 6 ok, 6 terrible. Also they will charge your 6 year old full price on Sunday night an hour before dark. Poorly run, bad greens, get what you pay for....
