In summary

Chemung Hills Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and scenic views, making it a popular choice for both golf and events. The staff, particularly event coordinators like Brigid and Haley, are commended for their exceptional service and attention to detail, especially during weddings. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, confusing navigation on the course, and occasional discrepancies in pricing.

We had our wedding at Chemung 11/15/25. It was absolutely amazing. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Haley did an outstanding job coordinating and decorating. She was there for our every need. I am so grateful they made our wedding dreams come true. The food was spectacular! Alfredo chicken, Pot Roast Beef, Cheesy potatoes, green beans Salad. The bar service was beyond exceptional- everyone was attentive. The crew who set up, tore down, cleaned up were very organized and speedy. Bob did a great job taking us to breath taking spots on the course for the photos! We were told it was th…

I love this course! Some truly sublime holes with outstanding sight lines. Conditions were solid. Greens were in great shape and fast. Some bunkers could use some love. I could say that about most courses however. Great sand isn't cheap so I get it. Overall this course is in my top 10 for courses within an hour or less of Metro Detroit. It's challenging, but fun. If you miss the fairway, you will be punished.

Thank you to Haley the event coordinator, the setup crew, kitchen staff, the servers and the bartenders for doing such a superb job for my daughter's wedding. Every detail was taken care of. All of you played a big role in assuring that the day was perfect.

Overall the course is nice. The fairways are fairly well maintained. A couple holes require you stay on the fairway or else you are hitting off very hard ground The greens run true but, they are a little fast.

I like the course, its well maintained. Their online booking has been broke forever, that's the reason I haven't golfed here in a year and a half. I did make the call yesterday, got a time. Need off late due to people ahead of me still on the tee box. Then proceeded to play 9 holes in 3 hours due to slow play. I jumped ahead and skipped a couple holes to leap frog some groups. 5.5 hours, played 16 holes. There were 2 of us. Its unfortunate, probably not coming back for awhile despite being the closest course to me.

Nice place for a banquet. Food was just okay. Most likely due to sitting to long before serving. No golf this time.

Our daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect! The entire staff did a fantastic job to tend to every detail. The bridal suite is awesome for all the girls to get ready and enjoy the morning while the guys enjoyed the golf simulators. The outdoor ceremony was flawless even with the threat of rain and the reception was decorated exactly as she had hoped. The food was outstanding and service timed perfectly. Topped the night off with an amazing spread for her ice cream bar with fresh out of the oven cream puffs! Thank you all, especially Brigid and Hailey for a simply perfect, stress free, day th…

Great course but waiting behind 8 golfers at hole 10 is horrible. Learn to spread the tee times.

Course was in good condition. Greens were in great shape. Fairly priced, unlike some other courses.

My first impression was okay. The course is filled with snobby players making snide remarks about the golf clubs we had. The course manager, acted like a male Karen, telling us with a rude attitude we couldn't tee off at hole one when it was clearly not closed. He then proceeded to sit behind us at the next stop down the hill interrogating us on who's name the tee time was under and staring us down. It was inappropriate and disturbing. I called and made a reservation for tee time 45 minutes later at the best golf course in Livingston County, MI and we left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcomed.…

We played this course for the first time on Monday. What a pleasure! From the welcoming attitude of Don Braden the Golf Professional at check in, to the starter at the first tee, to the friendly waitstaff in the club house. The course is in good shape with well maintained tee boxes, and greens. This is not a “grip it and rip it” course, but rather one where you need to think your way around each hole. Elevation change and water features along with bunkers that protect many greens, will add to the interest and challenge. I can’t wait to go back and try my new knowledge to score better next time…
