In summary

Ironwood Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained course, unique hole designs, and affordable pricing, making it an attractive option for both beginner and intermediate golfers. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, and the clubhouse offers good amenities, including food and simulators. However, some visitors have reported issues with course conditions, such as aerated greens and rough cart paths, as well as negative interactions with certain staff members, particularly regarding pace of play and group size management.

I honestly loved my round here. It's about $55 bucks for 18 with a cart during prime time. The positive way out weigh the couple negatives. I'll get those out of the way first. The courseis tight in some places, and blind tight in a few too. So, just be aware of your fellow golfer. And the massive power lines are an eyesore. Honestly, this course is beautiful though. For the price, its a 5. The bathrooms in the clubhouse are very nice. The layout of the course is great. Lots of unique hole designs. Very good usage of the massive pond for holes 9 and 18. I intend to play here again and I would…

Will not return. I’m a beginner golfer, so I had questions about how everything worked, staff was a bit rude and made me feel like I was inadequate for not knowing things. The course was advertised as welcoming for all skill levels, this doesn’t feel like the case. It feels like a private club where everyone knows everyone and you must be ready to hit par every shot. I can’t justify spending $75 for me to golf and my wife to watch from the cart, just to feel disrespected and unwelcome.

It's just a great course for the price. The staff was nice and polite. They had hotdogs and good snacks. The golf carts are pretty old and no ice chest on them. The course was in pretty good shape, no dead spots or fairways that had dead areas of dirt. The cart paths were pretty rough but cudos to management for acknowledging it and putting up some signs to let you you were coming up on some rough areas. Course was not as easy as you might think. I enjoyed playing the course and I recommend anyone visiting the Brighton/Howell area play this course.

Such a poor experience today, probably won't be back again. Fairways long and not cut, same with the tee boxes. Tee boxes seemed to be more ground under repair than usable. The of greens, I know it's part of the process...but aerated greens are terrible to putt on. Cart paths are horrendous! Bunkers barely raked and good enough to shoot out of... for $58 it was over priced for the current condition. Lastly, it was so backed up today with groups and no Ranger out to help speed up people or advance groups in a timely manner. Most holes we waited close to 5 minutes to just hit our shot because of…

Course was in great shape, lots of variety between open holes, and tight wooded corridors that require pinpoint accuracy.

I have played this course several times over the past few years, never an issue. The greens on 09/13/2025 were SO BAD that it made my round un-enjoyable. NO chance at making anything over 3 ft. Like dribbling a basketball to the hole, cant rely on the break when its bouncing. Total disappointment for the price.

Couldn't book 9 holes on line and was told people don't really play 9 so not option. This is available at many other courses. The charge for 18 online is cheaper than 9 over the phone. The course though is nice. And employees very nice.

This is a great course for beginner/intermediate that has some pretty long holes and some fun sand traps and water to navigate. Took 2 first time golfers here and they thought it was a really fun and still challenging course. The staff was super friendly and the clubhouse was nice and clean. Great place to grab a snack and drink between rounds. Can’t beat it for the price I think.

This was my first and last time at this course. Karl told us that given our circumstances, he wanted us to have a good time and said it was fine to play with our 5 golfers. However, if we slowed down play we would have to split into 3 and 2. We never had anyone waiting behind us, but the ranger just wanted to ruin our experience and was very rude and was trying to show his authority and threatened calling the sheriff. So unbelievable. I’ve never been treated so badly in my life. We spent a lot of money out there and the experience was the worst I’ve ever had.
