However, some visitors have noted issues such as inconsistent fairway conditions, unexpected gratuity charges, and navigation difficulties on the course.

Came down with some friends & family, overall it’s a very beautiful place but a specific cook was my problem. My child & I was walking around looking at photos when one of the cooks I believe his name was something like Rick or Nick walked out of the kitchen cursing while my child was 5ft away, I confronted the young man & he did not apologize & smelt like alcohol, I was given attitude & refused to give his name. I had to ask a very nice & understanding waitress for his name. The food was nice but after that incident I refuse to go back.

We were visiting Mt. Airy and decided to go to Cross Creek for dinner. We were looking for the restaurant and an employee asked if she could help and she took us to the restaurant. She came back during dinner to make sure our dinner experience was good. Food was really good. The woman who guided us to our table was genuinely kind. Our servers were nice but it didn't seem sincere...maybe we misread them. Food, atmosphere and views were great

The food and service at Sunset Grille were neither outstanding, but were both acceptable. What wasn't acceptable, however, was slipping a 20% tip into the total. I think the fact that we were out of towners may have played a role in the ruse. Perhaps they thought we wouldn't notice or that we would be reluctant to say anything. They were wrong.

Favorite spot for date night for my husband and I at Sunset Grill. Every event I have been to the food is ALWAYS consistently great! Service is very attentive and knowledgeable in the menu. My husband loves the golf side of Cross Creek and I look forward to the pool this summer.

Played a little tough today from the black white tees. The fairways were a little wet with no roll at all. Very good course and in great condition. Definitely recommend.

The construction of the Greens and the layout is fantastic. The staff was nice. However, the fairways were dried out in a lot of locations. The course needs some attention maybe rain would help.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a ton of options on the menu. I got the Brussel sprouts and Mac & Cheese Chicken and we’re both amazing. Highly recommend eating here.

Great course with lots of creeks meandering through most of the holes. Elevated greens with contours offer very challenging hole placements. Although fairways and greens are still in post winter hibernation phase course is in great shape. Greens are in pristine conditions. Practice areas have two practice greens, sand traps and chipping areas. Clubhouse has its own charm I consider homey. Staff (pro shop and dining teams) is super friendly and accommodating. Everyone including other players we met had smiles on their faces.

Recently we had our son's rehearsal dinner at CCCC on a Sunday night. We were deeply pleased with all aspects of the evening. The venue was clean and prepared for us. The food was impressive: fresh salmon, beef tips, carved smoked turkey, even the mashed potatoes were memorable. The chef came out and greeted us. The service was on point, and easy to work with. And all this was at a price point that was extremely reasonable. I've dined at many CCs before, and honestly most CC food is average, but not here. The salmon was prepared perfectly and I still remember the favor, so unexpected so high i…

I'm an avid golfer, 3-4hdc. I have been hearing great things about this course. Although I haven't played it yet, my visit and just looking around was not disappointing. The club house was first class along with the practice facility from what I witnessed. I spoke with their pro briefly and he was very nice. I look forward to playing this course in the near future and possibly joining the out of town membership.

Nice course, a little higher price than is merited. I would have added another star, but two issues - the carts and very poor signage. The carts have GPS - which is great - but there's no warning that you're not allowed on certain fairways until you actually drive out there and your cart beeps and dies. You spend a lot of time in reverse! Secondly, the lack of signage directing you to the next hole is ridiculous!! We brought 3 groups from out of town and we spent a lot of time driving around (and finally asking which direction the next hole is). Better signage would speed up pace of play great…
