In summary

Olde Mill Resort is frequently praised for its stunning golf course, which is well-maintained and offers a challenging layout set against a picturesque mountain backdrop. Visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the quality of the food and amenities available. However, some guests have mentioned issues such as slow pace of play, wet course conditions, and subpar golf carts, which can detract from the overall experience.

This place is a definite gem. Only heard about it online. We stayed in a cabin that would be great for 4 people. The real steal is the golf course and amenities. Our package included breakfast. Which we thought would be a typical quick buffet. No! This was a hand made delicious country breakfast with potatoes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, and the best dang sausage I ever tasted. Was a handmade meal from heaven. Now for the real steal. We played both courses at Wintergreen the days before and paid over 100.00 per round. They were very nice. But this course was absolutely stunning,…

This is a beautiful course with great greens. Very high rough. Course isn't well drained. Well marked tee boxes and fairways. The day we played it was hot and humid with a lot of wet fairways. There was no water out on the course until hole 15. All of that is understandable. What isn't understandable is the condition of the cart they sent us out on. It made the round much less enjoyable. It was a cart that was in very poor condition. It wouldn't go slow without jerking, sputtered, backfired, parking brake lock wouldn't release when moving. Should have been retired 10 years ago. We are looking…

Wow! Moutain top beauty in a golf course! What a gorgeous course. Brooks and ponds and a vintage water wheel running. Very green and well groomed through rolling hills. The amenities are excellent and somewhat luxurious in fact. On site chef...the whole nine yards. If you love golfing in nature. You have to book it here!

We just held our family reunion at the event center. The food from Michael was beyond amazing and the service was unbelievable! On top of all that a five-star Golf Course! Caroline, the event manager was so accommodating and very professional.

Spent 2 days and 2 nights at resort and had an absolute blast! Super friendly staff who bend over backwards to help. Accommodations were nothing fancy but the food in the lodge was great. The star of the show is the golf course! Awesome layout and amazing conditions. Greens were fast and fairways were lush. PSA stay below the hole!

I lead a group of 16-20 for a weekend golf trip here for about 10 years now. Sherry, Beau, and the team are awesome and accommodating. The course is beautiful and challenging. We all look forward to the annual trip to the HOG as much as anything else all year.

Can’t rate the hotel since I didn’t stay there. Drove up just to play a round of golf. Course itself is absolutely beautiful. It was wet in spots the day I was there but was expected with the recent rain. Challenging course and kept in nice condition. Carts are subpar for most golf courses I go to, much less a “resort “ course. Selections in the “snack bar” were pretty much nonexistent. I would expect a course of this caliber to offer a little more food choices. We had a tee time scheduled but ended up waiting an hour past our tee time to start. The resort had apparently let a group of 48 play…

Im from Florida and live 1 mile from Innisbrook Golf Resort that host the Valspar Championship for the PGA. Olde Mill is 10x the course and much better shape. I look forward to playing every time I'm in Virginia.

If you're a golfer in NC, VA, TENN, then you need to check out this Hidden Gem designed by Ellis Maples. Located just off The Blue Ridge Parkway, a stunning layout awaits. Bo Goins runs a fantastic facility with onsite lodging for overnight guests, and great food at The Maples watering hole. We drive the scenic hour drive multiple times each year. It's a little slice of Heaven! Great Value too! $50 afternoon rate or $75 weekend mornings! You gotta go, you'll thank me later I promise!

Our dinner was excellent. Linda made sure everything was perfect which it was. Golf course is stunning this year. We normally go here when we have company. Months later after review we’ve been back lots of times. Last night two dishes of salmon came out raw. They were sent back and our husbands had time to finish their steak dinners before ours arrived for a second time. Portion of mash potatoes were half the size and cold. One salmon had to go back again to be cooked. Our bill reflected full price which we paid . Not going back.
