In summary

Skyland Lakes Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful setting and friendly, helpful staff, making it an enjoyable experience for many visitors. However, there are frequent concerns about the condition of the greens and overall course maintenance, which some find detracts from the golfing experience. Despite these issues, the club's efforts to improve and its scenic location continue to draw players who enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and reasonable pricing.

Pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. Lady in clubhouse friendly and helpful. My wife and I played the front 9 on a nice day. Nice carts. No complaints. Reasonable prices on food and golf. Will return for full 18. Near our home so it may become our go-to course.

We had a golf tournament at Skyland Lakes on 5/3/2024. I can’t say enough positives about them! The owners and all employees are so awesome to work with. The course is beautiful, the drive beautiful and I mean come on you are on the parkway playing golf……It can’t get much better! I can’t wait to get back out to Skyland Lakes!!! If you have not been it is DEFINITELY worth a trip!!

Gave me a cart that the strap was broke on and I didn’t know it was put my brand new $1400 dollar Titleist golf clubs on. Hit a nice drive crossed the fairway hit the cart path and heard a crash. Looked back and my clubs had fell off the cart and the plastic piece that holds the strap was in the fairway. Went back to the clubhouse and the lady said she would get back with me before I left bc her manager was coming in. Gave me a brand new cart and I went on to finish my round. Went back in the clubhouse and the waiver I signed was not only for damages done to their property but mine as well gav…

I want to give these guys a better rating. They are wonderful to work with and very personable. The clubhouse is super nice and the course is in a nice setting. Tee boxes needed attention, the fairways were pretty good, cart paths needed some work, and the greens needed attention too. I will say though that these folks have made improvements and are going in the right direction. It's just going to take some time to get everything addressed. It definitely has super potential and I look forward to going back and seeing what improvements they make. Note: they have only been working on it for a fe…

Hadn't played here in over 25 years, was excited to play as I had fond memories of the course and layout. Unfortunately was disappointed in the condition of the course, the tee boxes, fairways and rough were not in very good condition, the greens were the biggest disappointment as you really couldn't make any putts due to the poor condition. Looked they hadn't been mown in several days, shaggy, bumpy and ball would not roll smoothly. This really took the fun out of what we thought was going to be great day.

Fun course with really nice, albeit small, greens that hold. No sand but some holes are tight and of course it helps to hit it straight. Fun laid back course

I won't say, "don't waste your money." It's your money, spend it where you want. But I'd highly advise you find a different course to play. Not only is course not cared for, but it's not managed. Watched a foursome hit 3-4 balls each off each of last two tee boxes, all with 5 groups bunched up behind them. Would have taken us 1.5 hours to play the last 3 holes. We decided to just leave. Let management know. They really didn't care. Did offer to let us go play 3 different holes again, but we'd already had enough of Skyland Lakes.

Played Skyland with some work buddies today. Gorgeous day and beautiful scenery. The greens held approach shots very well. Very nice people running the place. I will definitely play here often. Great experience!

Not a good experience. Usually play here once a year when it's warm and we head to the mountains. It's not an "A" course by any means and I understand that going in. The expectations are never high, but it's usually fun to hit the ball around. This trip we were playing and this lady with a baby and a little kid was driving around the course. They kept following us and would just hang around as we were hitting. Very annoying. Finally, we were on the tee box and they pulled in front and parked 150 yards in the middle of the fairway. We thought they were just joy riding. I called the clubhouse an…

The course is great. Needs weed control and better mowing around greens. Also, they ran out of tees. Bring what you need .

The greens are back in great shape ! Played and stayed there in November. I can't believe they did it, they were totally brown a year ago. The new owners are actually aerating the greens properly which hadn't been done for years.

Went 2 weeks ago and left after 3 holes. There were literally no greens... just dirt. Got to hole 3 or 4 and the green was so bad that the flag wouldn't even sit in the hole. It was sideways and the plastic part in the hole prevented any ball from going in. We didn't even ask for a refund, just left. Literally the worst condition that I have ever seen on a course. They offered a discount upfront and had a sign apologizing for the appearance of the greens, but there were no greens and they were not playable. I wouldn't play on it again for free.
