In summary

Cruz Farm Golf Club is appreciated for its reasonable pricing, beginner-friendly layout, and relaxed atmosphere, with no need for tee times and a welcoming staff. The course offers a mix of challenging and picturesque holes, though some visitors note that maintenance can be inconsistent, particularly with tee boxes and greens. While the setting is generally appealing, occasional issues with slow pace of play and unruly groups have been reported.

This is my home course and I visit often. Each hole presents its own set of challenges. From greens protected by bunkers and water, to pin placement this course is always tough. If you and your group plays for bragging rights then this course is for you. No lead is safe with the daunting 18th left to Play. The 444 yard par 5 is wide open off the tee, but has an opening through the trees and over a creek leading to the green. While the distance is long the strategy of where you set up each shot is important. The reason I call it my home course is because the staff treats us that way.

This is a very nice golf course considering the price. Some of the holes are picturesque. A great course for the casual golfer. I love working on my game here.

No tee time required which is great for an impromptu golf outing. This can also mean long wait times depending on the day. I've played this course year round and it's fun. A few challenging holes but most are pretty beginner friendly (I am average at best). Prices are ok, I wish they were a bit cheaper in the winter but you take what you can get when some other local courses close for the winter. Greens are hit or miss some are great others have craters you could park a semi in, but summer time they are usually consistent. Parking is ample and the place is easy to find, can't beat showing up a…

Highly recommend Cruz Farms, especially for beginners and casual golfers. The prices are very reasonable. The course is not as well maintained as higher priced courses but it's reasonable for the price. The layout is not too challenging for casual golfers but does have some holes that will test more experienced players. Bottom line, low handicap golfers and the country club types will likely turn their noses up at Cruz Farms but it's great for those of us who don't get out very often and don't need to spend an arm and a leg. More for summer of 2025: lots of rain this year so the course is as g…

Good golf course for a great price. It feels like you've been transported back to a 1950s country club. There are no tee times. Show up, pay at the clubhouse, and then go wait in line (if there is a line). Some parts are a bit sandy but you can make due. There is a lot of wildlife. To start, you get greeted by the course cats in the parking lot. There are a lot of ponds throughout the course with lots of turtles. Keep your eyes peeled and you might see a snapping turtle. Cruz keeps my friends and I coming back despite a bit of a drive. We always have a good time.

Played after a recent heavy rain, with the course a bit soggy. Was my first time here. I learned that good ballstriking is a must here. The greens are great, it's a beautiful place; nature at its finest. As I was finishing up, I didn't want to leave. I'll be back!

I absolutely love playing at Cruz Golf Club in Farmingdale, NJ! This course offers a wonderful golfing experience, especially for those who appreciate a more spontaneous outing—no tee times required! While this can occasionally lead to longer wait times, especially later in the day, arriving early helps avoid any bottlenecks. The course itself is a charming par 70, ideal for beginners or anyone looking to fine-tune their game. It's not the longest course out there, so you won't need to pull out the driver as often, which really tests your accuracy and club selection. The greens are generally…

You could offer me free golf for life and I still would not play this course….. Giant murder hornets all over the place, tee boxes are a wreck….. county courses are much better for the same price. Cart path only and the paths are a wreck…..

I really enjoyed playing this course. If you read other reviews you will know they do not take tee times. With that said i showed up before 8 to tee off so i didnt get stuck in a bottleneck of golfers. I recommend doing the same. When i finished i saw a backup at 1st tee and it was a weekday. Short par 70. Great for beginner golfers or anyone trying to sharpen their game. Reasonably priced. Tee boxes seemed to be under maintenance and greens were in good shape. Bunkers were more clay than sand. You wont hit driver a lot here as you would with most other courses. This place will test your accur…

The course is in great shape for this time of year. The price is well beyond reasonable compared to other area courses and there are no tee times required. This course is perfect for those looking to walk and get the exercise. Prices for hot dogs & soft drinks are great. A few holes on the front nine are a little soggy after recent rain, the back nine is usually fine. The staff are always working on the place to keep it up and are very friendly. They offer a free round of golf with a power cart for first responders a few times a year, so they support those working in the emergency services fie…
