In summary

D. W. Field Golf Course is appreciated for its strategic layout, featuring wide fairways, elevated greens, and challenging long holes, making it suitable for various skill levels. The staff is frequently praised for their friendliness, and the course is considered a good value, particularly for seniors. However, some visitors note issues with maintenance, such as rough cart paths and teeing grounds, and mention the noise from nearby traffic and planes. Despite these concerns, the course is generally regarded as a worthwhile municipal option, especially for beginners.

This was a very pleasant surprise of how good this course is. I think the location gets an automatic write off by people, just assuming Brockton is not the best town to be in. But the quality is very good fairways have some rough spots but it’s normal for a municipal course. Mostly wide open fw and a few small dog legs, very good strategic course overall. There are elevations on most of the holes, so it is definitely challenging depending on skill level. Some of the par 4s and two of the par 3s are very long, playing from the blues. The carts and club house pro shops are pretty beat up, but it…

The entire course is quite flat so that it is highly recommended to walk than ride. Layout is also pretty good except for the ling walk between #8 and #9, with beautiful landscape. Teeing grounds are not well maintained but still playable while greens are substantially hard to play due to undulation, speed and pin positions. Pro shop manager is friendly. Like most of the golf courses located south of Boston, you have planes flying over every minute. Btw, there is no Par Aide ball washer at all on the course.

This nature park is a piece of jewel tucked away in the middle of the Avon/Brockton communities. Not too many people know about it. It is absolutely gorgeous! Who would have thought that there is currently a beautiful foliage show going on there? I took some pics today! The park serves also as a reservoir. The old bird's watch🐦 tower is closed to the public; the geese and swans live there as well. The Brockton golf course is right next door. The park is clean, serene and very well managed. People bike, run, jog and walk their dogs from opening to closing times.

Played this course for the first time yesterday and will definitely be back again! Course has a really cool layout.... Front nine has back to back par 5s and lots of elevated greens.... Back nine has some long par 4s that are challenging.... The greens and the green complexes were in great shape... You can tell they have been spending effort on them .... Absolutely worth playing!

Speaking as a senior the price can’t be beat - $27 vs $45 (walking). No water hazards and the fairways are mostly wide open. Considering the drought the course is in very good condition, especially the greens…which are fast and tricky.

It's actually okay than I expected. There're no waters though. However all the cart paths are the worst I've ever explained.

Fun views can't wait to come back and explore on the ice! A bit windy and it's best to stick to the path to avoid cars. The doggo did enjoy.

Solid spot. Great municipal course. Worth $50 (walking) Green are in good shape. Only downside is that It's located on a busy street and there were multiple sirens throughout the round, in addition to traffic. Not exactly peaceful. My playing partner said "welcome to Brockton!" On that note I would say it's in a commercial area and it's not a bad area. Not too far from Westgate Mall off rte 24
