I have played Dahlgreen over the last twenty years. Generally has been a decent experience. A couple of week ago we decided to play on the weekend. Our day started when Ms Congeniality (lady at the front desk with her arm in a sling) replied to my inquiry about being charged full price for green fees and cart rather than Sr. rates on a weekend morning. She abruptly responded that it is posted on Dahlgreens website. Sure enough it's there along with the two asterisks ** indicating the pricing is only valid after 2:00PM on weekends. So after $150+ for two green fees and cart we are headed to the…

Played Dahlgren for the first time this spring and a was pleasantly surprised with the course. I looked all over the website to see if they have a driving range - nothing. When I got there I asked a regular and was told it is located a quarter mile east of the course. I will play there again.

Nestled beside a working farm, Dahlgreen offers golfers the rare pleasure of playing amidst the gentle perfume of fresh manure. As you navigate their hilly fairways, enjoy the constant companionship of their enthusiastic local bug population — nature’s way of keeping you moving between swings. Their staff and fellow golfers bring that authentic old-world golf charm, complete with cold stares, unsolicited advice, and just the right amount of condescension to make you feel like you don’t belong. Dahlgreen isn’t just a round of golf — it’s a full-sensory adventure. Bring your clubs, your bug sp…

Exceeded my expectations..greens were hard and fast with reasonable amount of undulation (just like the upper end private courses). Fairways were nicely stripped and well maintained. Fringes were very good. The sand traps were quite hard though with only about 1" of loose sand on top. The pin flags are not colored so you don't know if they are front, back or middle of the green. I will certainly play again soon.

We started the day and the clubhouse workers were rude and had the ranger follow us for the first four holes. Would not recommend how they treated us to start the day. They allowed sixsomes and would not allow us to play two foursomes and a twosomes. The cart girls and second ranger on shift apologized for how they acted and wanted us to have a good round. Would not recommend based on how we were treated in the clubhouse but had a good experience on the course.

Very disappointed. The pro shop workers were extremely disrespectful. Expected the worst out our group and assumed we had no etiquette because of the size of our group. Mind you we bought 3 tee times and split up evenly. The ranger was following us the whole time, making snarky comments. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to enjoy yourself. The cart girls had to apologize for the attitude of the pro shop workers and rangers. They acted like their course was top tier. They had 3 foot tall weeds in the bunkers, greens were all under repair, and don’t even get me started on the tee boxes. 80$ fo…

Course is in good shape, friendly staff. We even had the owners dog escort us for a few holes.

Crappy experience, dude in the pro shop was a tweak. Paid $80 just to be disrespected. Luckily the restaurant and cart girls were respectful and apologized for the administration. Golf course was nice but when administration is crappy and disrespectful it’s hard to enjoy your time. Worst golf experience of my life.

Amazing layout! Course was in excellent condition. A course that will tune up the game for any skill level of golfer. Staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be golfing at Dahlgren again in 2017!

Had a really great experience, there was a male and female park ranger checking on us and they were a ton of fun. The original check-in lady was very reasonable and wanted to cooperate with our larger party which was very appreciated. You are probably wondering why I’m leaving 2 star, it’s due to the male that checked us in. He was very impractical and quite frankly unpleasant to be around. It felt once our cards got swiped all customer service went out the window. He allowed other groups to play in larger four somes and for some odd reason would not allow our group to split into 3 groups of 4…

Great course! The course is in phenomenal condition considering how much rain we have had. Challenging from all tees and staying in the fairway is key! Greens were outstanding and rolled true. Hats off to Steve, Dave and the grounds crew such a great golf experience!
