In summary

Deer Park Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, scenic setting, and friendly staff. Golfers appreciate the challenging yet enjoyable layout, with GPS-equipped carts enhancing the experience. However, some visitors find the course navigation confusing due to a lack of signage, and a few have noted less-than-ideal customer service interactions.

Wish I could give this one 6 stars. They REALLY take good care of this place. Bumped into some members and you can tell they have pride in the course. The course is a really good mix of the more open holes (North side of the property) and holes that are a little more tight (South side of the property). It’s nice that each nine has a mix of holes from each side of the property. The greens were literally perfect. The GPS on the cart actually had the distance to that day’s pin. Not sure if I’ve ever actually seen that. Overall a super fun course with nice people.

Came here with my husband and had a great time. There were good amount of people playing but we were all at the same pace. We came around 3:30 on a Monday so I'm sure depending on the day that could change. Nice golf carts here. The greens were in really good conditions compared to many places around. They could've been a little better, but I don't blame the course for things other golfers do or don't do. Great views and good parking lot as well.

Would consider this course to be a true hidden gem. Course is situated next to a start park, so it is extremely scenic. Despite the lack of rain greens were in great shape, will 100% be back.

Great Price to play a great course. 20$ on Monday. Parts of this course are from 1904, which is before golf really took off in America.

That murder mystery dinner was a blast! The food was delicious, and the actors were really into it. Figuring out whodunnit kept us all guessing. Glad we decided to go, it was a memorable night. A shout out to Missy for doing a great job putting it all together.

First time playing Deer Park. I'm from Michigan, so I'm used to playing a course with more trees and hills, but this course was set up to make the most of the available landscape. The greens had very interesting and challenging undulations. Overall very enjoyable!

I'm kinda mixed on this review. The course it's self was actually very nicely maintained. Fairways and greens were nice especially for mid September golf. Very open course great for scramblers and the views were nice on a few holes. Only complaints were I couldn't find where to check in and come to find out it's with the bartender. The course itself was difficult to navigate with not a lot of signs telling you where to go. After hole 6 you have to cut across the parking lot for 7 but there no signs telling you to do so, to go back to 10 you have to cross the lot again, at 14 you have to cross…

Played here twice during a local cabin stay. The course was in very good shape and was challenging enough to be very fun. The course is split by the parking and can get confusing when needed to cross. Signs would be helpful but that’s a minor thing. The main thing is the golf and it’s a great course for that.

A Truly Amazing Golf Course hidden away! As a New Woman golfer I named this course as one of my favorite picks on a team Titleist post! My first pick was Castle Course, Scotland and second Deer Park, Oglesby, IL This course has nicely laid out tees especially for NEW golfers and the Staff are amazing! So thankful! The only thing missing is food, Some nice street tacos would be nice or chicken salad sandwiches lol.. just a thought!

Course was fun to play but can be confusing where the 1st tee is for first time visitors like we were. Check-in conversation consisted of the guy at the bar telling us our total and taking payment. When asked where the first tee was he pointed to a general direction and then helped another customer get a drink. We had to ask where to retrieve a cart and if keys were in it. Again, just got an annoyed look and another point of the finger. A little customer service or providing some sort of explanation when asked a question would have been very helpful. The 3 of us were hoping to grab a few drink…
