In summary

Mendota Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and overall value, making it a pleasant spot for both seasoned and novice golfers. The course offers a mix of challenging and enjoyable holes, particularly the long par 3s, and is appreciated for its scenic layout. However, some visitors note that the sand traps could use better maintenance and that the course can become crowded, especially with less experienced players.

The Par 3's although abundant are the hardest part about this course. Hole 15(?) has a ridiculous 210 carry from the blues, and there's a lot of water hazards throughout this course. It can be confusing where to go for first time golfers, with some of the holes being a good 70yds from the green to tee box. Also, really want to keep it in the fairways here, as the rough isn't well maintained and very dry and hard.

Had a great time. Good price, GREAT greens, some difficult holes, especially the long par 3's.

Nice course. Some spots are a little rough. Could definitely use some sand in the traps. They are dry crusty mud and grass growing in some.

Nice course. Taken care of. Sand traps need work and better sand. It is public so be prepared to wait lots of inexperienced golfers with no sense of golf rules. Nice course for the price. I advise to play during the week to have an enjoyable round.

The layout is decent, fairways are shaggy, and greens are ok. They have some kind of disease on the greens. It causes them to be very bumpy in spots. The greens are slow to mid speed.

Course was in great shape. Stayed for a couple drinks after the round and Sam at the bar was great! Even with a full bar service was quick! Thanks for the dinner recommendations! Will be back again.

I have never golfed on this course. I fish a private pond that adjoins Mendota golf club. I've stated several times that I have not been there before. But you keep asking anyway. So now you know.

For the first time going golfing , I was really surprised how relaxing it is and would like to do it again . It's a very nice course and everyone should try golf at least once . I would recommend anyone to try this golf course and have some fun .

I would give it an 8 out of 10 just because a couple of greens have minor problems and the bunkers although have good sand need more and better edging all around I would come back.
