It's a nice course to play for golfers that don't play much. It's challenging and enjoyable. Very affordable and the staff is nice.

Management of this establishment is a joke, they came out twice and yelled at us for absolutely no reason. We were not holding up people behind us and we were waiting on people in front of us but still he thought it was appropriate to come out and scold his customers who paid hard earned money to play the beautiful game of golf at his establishment when we had the choice to play anywhere else. This is the second time he has come out and yelled at us on two separate occasions/events. I will never pay for a single round of golf here again.

Have been a Member here since they opened the course in ‘64 and our High School Golf Team played there, then my Senior year the other 9 holes opened up. Challenging course, especially from the Blue Tees. I now play the Gold tees and you still have to hit good shots for a decent score. The greens are the best around my opinion. I play here at least 4 times a week. Several unique holes out at Spring Creek, especially 12, 13 & 14.

For 44$, I do not believe a better value could be found in a family owned golf course in the Starved Rock area. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in excellent shape. Fun and challenging front 9, exaggerated by the wind today. The back 9 calls for accurate long ball placement. All 18 greens held and rolled consistently, super friendly staff in the bar/pro shop. If I'm ever back here. I'm going to play 27 more holes at least. Facilty is just as MEGA as can be.

I’ve been driving by this course in my semi for almost five years, and it’s looks so nicely maintained! (As good as it could look from the road at 70 mph anyway) I’m absolutely going to make sure I play it next year!!!!

Booked a tee time on a whim while in town from Chicago for a graduation nearby. Was very pleasantly surprised. The course played long, and greens were in fantastic shape especially considering the rain this year. The time spent by the woman at the pro shop in giving detailed instructions on the course and even exiting the pro shop to point out certain landmarks and turns to make...all while an outing was lining up to start behind me...was the nicest I've been treated in a pro shop all year. Will play this little gem again when back in town.

Usually go here to golf, however went this morning and got harassed for “taking to long”.....I know that I am not a pro golfer, but when is it ever acceptable to treat guests in such a manner. We talked to the people behind us thinking they complained, but they were confused as well. Told us we are not even going slow. It is never acceptable to treat PAYING guests like this. Never again will I golf here, next time they need to put up a sign that says go fast or we will yell at you..... The issue is that you were not polite even in the slightest about asking us to pick up the pace, very demand…

Great golf course. Mix of long and short holes. Depending on ones length off the tee, you may have to take less than driver off the tee. Green speed is decent but the breaks are tough to read on some of them. I play it several times a year, usually after getting off work in the morning.
