In summary

Deercroft Golf Club is frequently praised for its welcoming and accommodating staff, as well as its enjoyable course layout that winds through tall pines. Many visitors appreciate the condition of the greens and find the course to be a good value, especially when included in a golf package. However, some reviews mention that certain areas of the course, such as fairways and tee boxes, require maintenance, and there are occasional issues with cart availability and tee-time management.

The course layout is fabulous! The greens are awesome, unfortunately we are here too early in the season and the fairways are not grown in.

This course is not in great shape. The tee boxes are bare in many places. The greens are average at best. Some greens are in good shape and some not so great. Great layout but course is not in as good of shape as it used to be when I played it a year ago

We almost had a good day of golf here, but it was ruined by a rude employee on the back nine. She came up to us complaining that we were playing too slowly and that they were out of carts. We finished 18 holes in under five hours, including a lunch stop—hardly unreasonable. There was no group waiting behind us, so her complaint made no sense. The real issue wasn’t our pace, it was the course not having enough carts. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary.

The course is in good condition with a few rough spots. The cart paths may be a little rough, but I will be coming back for sure. Greens hold the ball and are pretty true as long as the we take care of our ball marks.

The service is great but the course isn't good at all, the greens were terrible and fairways and Tee boxes were worse. The layout is a good one the course just some TLC and yes it isn't spring yet but it looks like nothing has been done to maintain the course and it's definitely not worth the price to play. I hope they can get it where it should be!

Fun course! Greens are in good shape would definitely come back and play again since I live 30 minutes from the course and get the local deal. Some of the fairways can be spotty but definitely playable. The cart paths are a bit rough that was the only down side.

Played today, 5/2/25. Greens are in OUTSTANDING condition. Fairways are coming in now....green but just waking up but in good condition. No complaints Some of the tees are in temporary location as I can tell they are putting work into the tee boxes with seeding....not all temporary and those that are not in a temporary location are in good condition Sand traps are in good condition Cost is very fair (military walking rate was $41 and change)...well with it. The only negative, if this is a negative, is there is no second cut from fairway to OB. So if you get a heater off the tee box and it is…

Traveled from Michigan for our annual golf trip. Played Tobacco Road and Legacy as well. 12 of us spent all day on this course from sun up to sun down and got in about 40 holes. The staff at here was by far the most appreciative and welcoming of the three by far. I collect yardage books for the courses I've played, they were out of inventory and took the time to send me a book as soon as they came in. This is a course I will vividly remember for the rest of my life. Thank you Jennifer, thank you Ted for making an everlasting memory. PS. for no extra charge you can have their four legged "caddi…

Golf course was amazing. Do NOT eat at the grill though they let cats walk around inside and on the bar and tables.

Greens were in good shape but overall conditions were below average for a $90 golf course! Made the trip down from about an hour away based on reviews but was very disappointed when the round was over. The layout was just plain and pretty boring to play. With a good drive you will hit wedge into every par 4 and the par 5s are all under 500 yards so very korky. Unless it was $50 a round or less I definitely wouldn’t recommend to an avid golfer. Beginners course with some birdies out there but not one I’d play again at the current prices and conditions

Amazing bent grass greens. July 4, 2025. A true Sandhills experience and best value in the 15-501 corridor

Great time at this place. We were on a golf trip with 12 guys and this course was included. Everyone was surprised at the top notch hospitality this course offers. Jen and company were phenomenal hosts and made sure that we had the best time. Course is great and priced right. Food at the grill was spot on and was the best post round refreshments that we enjoyed on our trip. If you have to book a package to Pinehurst and surrounds, please include this course on your list. Our group will definitely be back!
