In summary

Del Lago Golf Club receives praise for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and challenging course layout. However, many visitors express concerns about the deteriorating condition of the fairways, with reports of sparse grass and dirt patches. Some also mention issues with the bunkers and occasional slow pace of play, suggesting room for improvement in course maintenance and management.

Course has obviously not been taken care of and has gone seriously down hill. It reminds me of the Santa Rita Country Club before it closed. Investors bought it, couldn’t afford it, and eventually the course died. Sand and dirt everywhere there should be grass and all the water features are really no longer being maintained. Hopefully somebody does something to fix this course as it used to be a beautiful place to play.

Can’t believe this course is still in business and charges the prices they charge. The entire 18 holes was mis-managed and poorly taken care of!! ESPECIALLY THE FAIRWAYS. No joke, would never come back here or recommend this place . Ever. To anyone . Only thing nice about this course was the tee boxes. -and that’s being generous.

I don’t golf but the lil ponds are real fun to fish! 🎣🪱 The staff was really friendly and told us where to stand to avoid being hit by golf balls! We do try to go after close though to avoid getting in anyone’s way.

Practice area and greens are in great condition, and that's about where all the good things come to an end here. The property has such potential to be amazing with plenty of views and great course design. The fairways are so barren and full of dirt. Whatever grass is there is matted down and not worth hitting off of. The rough has better grass to hit off of in a lot of places. The only rewarding thing about hitting the fairways is that your ball will bounce and roll on forever with how bald these fairways are. Spend more money and go somewhere else. I wish the course was half as nice as the fa…

Played Del Lago yesterday and it was sweet. They might have the best greens I’ve seen in the Tucson area including Sewailo, Starr Pass, even La Paloma. Truly such a great experience! Very fun and challenging layout. Fairways are very firm and fast. Only thing that could have been better was how the membership and community treats the golf course. Nobody fixes their pitch marks and the people who fish on the course leave their trash, but other than those two things Del Lago was perfect.

Not really one to write reviews but had to for this one. Actively playing this course now. There is no grass on the course AT ALL… greens are alright… but this course is not well taken care of. I would not recommend at all. Hope to see better conditions next time we play.

Played yesterday and man has this place gone downhill. All the paint in the fairways and around the greens can't hide the fact this place is hurting. Greens are in decent condition but not worth the $72. Will not play there until the Bermuda grows back. If they bother to water it.

Haven't been there in a couple of years. Greens were nice fairways could use some work no water in man made streams. Staff was nice. I would definitely say not worth the 60 bucks after 12:00 we paid, at least for the shape the course was in. We will come back hopefully will be in better shape.

What happened??? Great greens but horrible fairways. If you don’t mind playing off of dirt fairways with the occasional tuft of grass, you will love Delago. Worst fairways in the valley. I will not be going back. .

Used to come here once a week for ladies night. Great service and the food was good. However. They first changed their ladies night discount from 50% off to 25% off drinks. Maybe they were losing money because that's what we came for? But hey it attracted a large group who ordered food too. Then a few weeks later their menu shrunk and they took off a lot of what I ordered normally. Sad, but I doubt I will be going back. Great views though.

I do like that s course and not just because it's a few minutes away. The fairways have been going downhill since they sold their water rights and they don't get much water. The tee boxes and greens are nice but getting there you are hitting off dirt most of the time.

Del Lago is one of my favorite courses in town. The course is typically in good condition and the design is nice and interesting. The variety in tees makes for a good challenge as well. My only complaint is that it typically gets windy in the PM, but it's hard to fault the course for that :-P
