In summary

Delaware Park Golf Course is appreciated for its affordable pricing and convenient location within a scenic urban park setting. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, noting issues with the fairways resembling rough, hard tee boxes, and confusing layouts. Additionally, some golfers experience a slow pace of play and challenges with course signage and navigation.

The course is very cheap! However it’s a bit beat. Fairways are narrow and more resembling of a rough. The rough is so deep that you will lose many balls simply because they’ll be buried. The rental clubs were best to death as well. Pace of play isn’t good either as there seems to be no order on how they send people out. On hole 7 and waiting about 5 - 10 minutes per shot. I’m from out of town and it was the only spot that could fit me in which was great and I was expecting much, but I wouldn’t frequent if I was in the area and was hoping for a little more effort by the city.

By far the worse course I have ever played. $65 for 2 people and a cart. All 18 Tee boxes have zero clean grass to have a decent shot. Also, there is literally no fairways. You can pipe the ball down the center or hit it 100 yards left or right and the lie will be the exact same. Pace of play is insanely slow as well. Would absolutely never waste my money on this course again. Frankly should’ve walked off and demanded a refund for that.

Nice course in the city that has a mix between some long drives and a few short holes to play. Rental clubs and golf carts are available.

Delaware park golf course is a nice course for the money, as long as you don't mind seeing others playing baseball, basketball, jogging our playing with their dog. I don't mind it, in fact I think it's one of the perks! Only trouble is finding the clubhouse! Google maps didn't account for the fact that the road that looks around Delaware is one direction... feeling to it the first time was very frustrating, but that was several years ago, Google maps may have thanks that into account.

I’m from out Rochester and for $15 less than what I normally pay for a course around here the difference in quality is outrageous. The fairway is basically rough the whole way through, the tee box’s are hard dirt. All of the greens and holes are so close together it makes it confusing to know where you’re aiming. On top of all of that on the first whole the manager came and said we were taking too long and had “a line” behind us. Maybe don’t book multiple groups to golf at the same time. And you have to be cautious of pedestrians just walking around the course. Only reason it gets 2 stars is b…

if your expectations for this course are high i have no idea what to tell you. it’s a muni. well worth the $300 as a pass holder.

It's an inexpensive golf course with no irrigation anywhere other than the greens. The hole layouts can be confusing, but they are marked. My GPS devices needed to be updated because they've changed the layout in the past few years. There seem to be a lot of inexpensive players. There is plenty of room for drives, but a lot of the par 3s have trees guarding the green (have to go over/under or around them.

I’ve golfed at several courses around WNY and today was first time at Delaware Park. I was shocked that this was actually a legitimate golf course. The fairway is basically rough. Golf carts are really beat up and we had to have it in by 8:15pm (with a 5:30pm-ish start time). The signage are cheaply made lawn signs with poor direction. There’s really just no decorum on this course. There’s also nowhere to grab a snack or a drink and the bathrooms are porta potties. I get the location is central and convenient and it’s a fairly cheap round of golf but I will never return as I couldn’t wait to j…

I wish I could reply to the 1 star reviews that expect Pebble Beach for $14. This course is a great value. It is situated in a semi-urban setting in a gorgeous Olmstead Park. The layout is great. While there are many other activites going on at the park, they do not interfere with golf. There is plenty of scenery including architecture which is rare. Obviously an affordable public course cannot afford to have a huge greens staff so yes, the rough is rough. Unless you keep the ball exactly on the narrow fairways, you will lose many balls so bring plenty and enjoy.

I played today, June 24, 2022. I paid 15 dollars, another 5 dollars for a walking cart, and they gave me the resident price instead of the non resident because I am visiting town, because I asked if there was a military discount. This is a really horrible course I hate to say it. The fairway is maybe 40 yards across on any given hole, and the rough that surrounds the entire course basically is covered in 3-5 inches of dry grass that is cut not even short, and then they leave the dead grass there, don't bag it or anything, so finding your ball is truly impossible, and when you think you found i…

Awful excuse for a course. Tee boxes are nothing but hard dirt, there’s no difference between fairways and roughs, greens are dirt piles. If you’re spending $15 to play golf you get what you pay for. Would be nice if the city put a little money into it. Guess it’s not bad in the late fall since it’s free to walk on and play as many holes as you want. That’s about the only time the course is useful.

The ABSOLUTE worst golfing experience that I have ever had. Sad excuse of a “golf course”. Horribly maintained, greens and fairways are covered with weeds. No markers for any of the tee boxes, and dead grass all of the fairway making it unbelievably hard to find your golf ball. $18 for a round and $22 for a cart is outrageous for this unmaintained course. Will never be coming back. If you actually golf, stay away.
