In summary

Sheridan Park Golf Course is frequently praised for its challenging and enjoyable layout, with a setting that many find appealing for a public town course. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, and the course is often noted for being well-maintained, although some reviews mention issues with the greens and fairways. Common criticisms include inconsistent customer service, slow pace of play, and concerns about value for money due to pricing and maintenance issues.

One of my favorites until recently. The course was aerated, no discount and we were not notified until after paying. We, a twosome, were the second tee time of the day and the starter allowed a foursome to cut in front of us on the tenth. What should have been an enjoyable early morning round turned into an excruciatingly long one with horrible greens

The golf course conditions are OK, expected for a middle end municipal course. It could be better though, but still passable. The course layout is very nice. The course is very tight with a lot of undulation, which is rare for a buffalo course and has lots of water. Staff here are very nice. I would definitely come again.

Terrible customer service and doesn't honor tee times. They will have you waiting for 30 minutes past your tee time behind walk ons. Absolute joke of a goat track, don't waste your money.

Course rates continue to increase while the maintenance gets worse. Greens in rough shape, fairways even worse. Hit a ball 10 feet off the fairway? Good luck finding it. Charging $50 for 18 and a cart at this course is ridiculous. The only good deal the Town of Tonawanda was offering for years is now gone.. they posted a sign at the clubhouse saying that the weekend special(deal after 2pm) is done, "sorry for the inconvenience".... Spend legitimately a couple extra bucks and go to a nicer course.

Play here all the time. Guys at clubhouse are usually great. I called today on 8/13/25 and this older gentleman had the worst attitude and just hung up on me because I asked one question. I call back and he says I figured we were done talking. Nope. I would have said thank you. Bye. Someone needs to find a different job. Miserable boomer. Lol.

Found myself in Buffalo this week and had some time to play a round. I was hesitant about the course after reading a recent negative review. This is probably one of the best public town courses I have ever played. The layout of the course is challenging . I found the overall condition of the course is on point, with the greens being in great shape. I was also surprised what great shape the bunkers are in, including quality sand! I have seen bunkers in worse shape at private courses. The two workers I interacted with were great. So, if you are an avid golfer I don't think you will be disappoint…

The layout of the course is enjoyable, challenging, and seems to be fairly well maintained. Greens and fairways were recently groomed, fairly typical Municiple green speeds. There are a couple tighter holes and some that are confidence boosters. The course could use some guidance arrows directing you accurately to the next hole as it was fairly confusing navigating the course initially. The starter held us up about 30 minutes due to a tournament, but I doubt this is a common occurrence. Overall, one of the nicer public courses I've played.

1st time here. Really friendly workers. The course is well maintained. The carts are nice and clean. For our skill (or lack of) it was a challenging course. We had a great time and cant wait to return.

Charlie, who apparently runs the place, doesn't know what he's doing. In a frank discussion with him regarding pace of place he simply claimed he's been playing since he was 9 which was irrelevant and said deal with it. The fairways and greens are in terrible shape with several hole locations less than 1 pace off the front or back (7/24/24). Maybe the greens keeper had a night before setting them, but it was utterly stupid. Spend an extra $5 and go play one of the nicer public courses in the area that isn't run by bafoon.

best town-run course in the area. condition is good but the overall layout is great. probably the only course i would rather walk than ride just because it feels like you're in a park. the back 9 is very nice. a lot of elevation changes and water. there is only one boring stretch of holes (middle of the front 9). good prices ($25 to walk 18 non resident). definitely worth giving it a try
