In summary

River Oaks Golf Club is praised for its challenging and well-maintained course layout, friendly staff, and enjoyable dining experiences, with particular appreciation for the recent improvements in food quality and service. However, some members express dissatisfaction with management, citing issues such as the absence of an on-site general manager, inconsistent event organization, and concerns about the club pro's visibility and engagement. Additionally, there are mixed opinions on the restaurant, with some finding the menu limited and service slow.

For the love of God please don’t give this place your hard earned money. They let the course fall into disrepair this season and conditions never recovered. The greens were completely dead and at risk of being so bad they’d never recover. And that’s not even the worst of this place. If you want a private club experience for access to a qualified head pro, keep looking. There are legitimately members here that, other than the day they signed up, haven’t seen the head pro John Daddario. The guy is a ghost unless you catch him on the course playing or in passing. His staff rarely knows where he i…

Private course dues, public course environment. I was among the number of members who were hesitant to stay when ownership changed. Overall I am content with the changes but I am leaning heavily towards not renewing next year. The new ownership had a chance to change the culture at this club for the better and has dropped the ball. I golf with a lot of different people and have been here for years(so this is not my actual name as I understand how vindictive employees and members get) and this is overall the most unhappy myself and several others have been. Personally I’m thrilled with the new…

Really cool layout on a huge piece of property. Staff is really friendly, course was in fantastic shape. Thank you Mark A. for having me as your guest!

Food is great, staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. Course is in great shape. My only concern is the length of the course for seniors. It is very difficult to negotiate most of the par 4s in regulation even from the green tees. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoy River Oaks golf club.

I played in a tournament on a rainy day. The course is somewhat challenging, and it's a pretty course. Lunch and dinner were good, but not five star. Very enjoyable.

Food was very good, small menu, no kids menu & very slow service. The place was also pretty empty. (We were one of 3 tables). Probably won't go back. Rated 4 stars because I had a nice chat with one of the kitchen staff. Very nice guy and kind to my kiddos.

Course is an excellent layout that is in the best condition I have seen it in, in 40 years. The only thing that was negative was the sand traps were not consistent in depth. Could use a new clubhouse too very musty and antique locker room.

Went there for Sunday Brunch. Not a huge variety, but everything was great. Omelette station, waffle station and some very good entrees on the regular menu. Nice surroundings and very good service st a reasonable price. We'll be back .

This is our home away from home. The owners, Tom and Diane, are exceptional people. We adore their staff. And love the continued updates. Keep up the great work!

The restaurant at the River Oaks Golf Club is one of the worst places I have ever had the displeasure of eating. The food is over priced, the quality is terrible, and the service is generally subpar. The pasta dish I had on my last visit was overcooked, unsalted, and bland; the vegetables were soggy and overdone, and the bread was stale. The thing that is tragic is that there really is some potential for some good food here, but some of the culinary basics have been ignored. Save your money, go anywhere else.

The food was absolutely amazing. The wine was robust. The service was above and beyond. Definitely a return date.

The best golf course in WNY. Great restaurant. Food is fantastic, service just as good. Just a great place all around. Tom and Diane Brady have restored River Oaks to its place at the top.
