Deerwood Golf Course

Course itself is decent. I personally think it's a bit overpriced. I've played at cheaper courses that were just as nice. Staff is hit and miss. Sometimes everyone is pleasant, & just as often there is someone with a bad attitude that makes you want to leave. Idk if there is more than one ranger, but I had one giving me a hard time for holding up a group behind us because we were waiting on the group in front of us. Lady in the pro shop is usually cranky too. BRING BUG SPRAY! Mosquitoes are ferocious

Accessible, affordable and a well kempt golf course. Offers a nice selection of three 9-hole courses, each with their own character and various challenges, including dog legs, water hazards, sand traps and long par 5's. Golfers may mix and match to create multiple unique experiences. It is, however, lacking a driving range.

First time there and every employee was ignorant, rude, and treated us like we were supposed to know exactly where to go, etc. Got scolded because we didn’t know we had to keep green fee receipt so we had to get out of line and go back to get it. Didn’t see any signs until after we were finished that carts weren’t allowed in the parking lot when we returned our bags to the car. Got scolded like we were 5 years old. The girl working where you return the carts was so nice and friendly. If they hired more young people with manners like that I’m sure they’d have more business. Course wasn’t great…

Been here three times and got same rude experience every time from the starter. Course is decent at best, but the starter is always snippy and rude like a passive aggressive girlfriend when checking in lol. It’s like he’s angry you came to golf at a golf course.

First time out this year! Very busy with carts coming out. 27 holes and it's only May! Course is looking good!

Could be a much better experience if they spaced out tee times an extra few minutes, had a visible ranger to speed up slow groups and if they mowed the greens. It should NOT take almost 5 hours to play 18 in carts even on a Saturday. We had to wait on every hole and every shot for 2 super slow 4-somes ahead of us. We finally saw a ranger on 17 and he waved hello and kept driving. The course is in nice shape for this time of year but the greens are brutally slow due to being overgrown. It's the nicest muni around. Alot of these reviews on here are inaccurate. Sure it can get packed at times, because its nice!! The greens are actually quick and in perfect condition. New superintendent is doing an excellent job at bringing the course back to its glory. Only downsides are, some tees aren't flat, all tees should be flat! And the cart paths are terrible. Not deal breakers. I love this place, and we are lucky to have it

Decent course, decent shape, issue is new owners separate tee times by maybe 3 minutes course is always packed beyond belief. Impossible to get out for a chill round without having to wait 15 minutes on every shot and people in ur back pocket.

I play here frequently, and always enjoy myself. Staff is courteous, and the course is in great shape. Love the sunsets with a later tee time. Keep it up, Deerwood!

Nice kept course, but no sign of course marshals. Overbooked to the maximum possible. 4 groups piled up on a hole 6 on a Wednesday at 12pm. Should not be like this.

Course is well maintained for a municipal course. 3 nine hole courses. Layout of Buck and Doe is straightforward and flat but still fun to play with trees lining the fairways. Fawn is shorter but is more challenging and has more character. Condition of the course is great considering the price that they charge for it. It obviously isn't going to be at the level of the best courses in Buffalo but its still well kept and fun to play. Much better condition than some others like Audubon and Grover. The course is very nice, maintained very well. However, the staff is harsh and disrespectful. I’m young and you can tell the staff give less respect to the younger golfers. For example, telling us to hurry up, watching us every hole, rude comments, and overall just not respectful.
