I enjoyed playing this course. It was in good condition, but apparently more used than others in the area. Tee boxes and fairways have a lot of wear and tear, and the greens are extremely sandy because of aerification.

Great experience today at Dorchester. Over the 40 plus years we’ve been visiting Fairfield Glade, Dorchester has always been our favorite golf course and today’s experience has just reinforced that. The rangers and starters were very nice and polite. The one thing I have noticed over the years that has changed is how the pace used to be to stay ahead of those behind you, now the focus is on keeping up with the group in front of you. Doesn’t make sense to me but I don’t play much golf either. Hopefully will be able to book the Glade through RCI in the future for my kids and grandkids as they h…

I vacationed at Fairfield Glade a number of years ago and played most of the area courses. Dorchester was very nice but I certainly did not bring my "A" game that day. Tight fairways got to me, but I did get a few nice pics!

Greens run true, though pin placements can be overly challenging. Good facilities, snack bar, covered patio, pros hope, driving range, and practice greens. Well maintained, top notch course.

Been coming to the Fairfield Glade for 15 years. Only course we constantly have issues with golf course management. Staff is unfriendly, disrepectful and do everything they can to make the golf as little fun as possible. Don’t bring a group bigger than 4 out - if you and your friends want to have fun and watch each other hit off the first tee, forget about that. Pace of play! Only one group of carts on the 1st tee box at once. And they wonder why they fall behind. Head Pro knows more than Jay Monahan so don’t bother discussing it with him. Great course, needs new management and someone with an…

The state of Tennessee has several big cities, each with its fair share of upscale daily fee golf courses, private clubs, and resorts. But it’s the small town of Crossville that is recognized as “The Golf Capital of Tennessee.” Crossville is located in Cumberland County, up on the Cumberland Plateau. It’s right off I-40, two hours east of Nashville, and about an hour west of Knoxville. Crossville garnered this distinction because of the high concentration of championship courses, a wide variety of layouts suitable for all skill levels, and a mild, year-round climate. The temperature on the pl…

Zero Stars: an utterly disappointing and disgraceful experience at Dorchester Country Club Unfortunately, my group and I had the profound misfortune of playing at Dorchester Country Club this morning, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most frustrating and utterly unpleasant golf experiences we have ever endured. For a venue that commands such a price, the level of professionalism and customer service was not just lacking, it was aggressively hostile. Our troubles began immediately with the starter, George. This individual was not just rude; he was pushy, aggressive, and condescending f…

The course itself was good, but rangers do not do a good job of keeping groups moving along! We skipped two holes and went around 3 groups, and the round still took 4 1/2 hours. It is ridiculous that any amateurs golf round should take 5 plus hours!

This is a beautiful course that is also very challenging. The fairways are tight and the greens, fast. The clubhouse isn't an upscale venue, but serves pitchers of beer, single-serve alcohol drinks, and very good burgers, brats, sandwiches, and fries.
