In summary

Dothan National Golf Club & Hotel receives mixed feedback from visitors. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the unique mineral pool, though some mention the need for maintenance and updates in both the hotel and golf course. Common criticisms include outdated rooms, noise from the highway, and poor course conditions, with some guests feeling the value does not match the price.

Staff was nice, but the hotel is very much outdated. It seems general maintenance is not a top priority..the bed was hard as a rock- linens weren't that great with only 3 pillows for a king bed? There is alot of noise from the highway at night. Not the worst hotel I've seen but prices are def too high for the quality. The highlight of my stay was definitely the mineral pool- but even that needs alot of TLC as well.

Did not stay at the hotel....This review is about the golf course. The pro shop actually is in a bar. It is kind of confusing to have to pay for your round of golf at the bar, literally the bar. The patio area outside was a nice touch. The golf carts did not have any GPS system on them, and it seem you could just drive anywhere you wanted to, probably right across the greens. However it would not have mattered, because the greens were completely dead. Unless rainwater comes down, there is no water applied to the greens at all. When I say that the greens were completely dead. They were crunchy…

Our room was freezing when we checked in and the unit was not warming up the room very well so we called the office and they brought a space heater that worked great now the room is warm the unit in the room is working good now thanks to Miles the gentleman who made sure we were taken care of.

Couldn’t have been more of a let down. Course it in terrible shape. Could be free and I wouldn’t do to this dump. All other reviews are outdated. Grounds crew has the biggest egos for people who play in the dirt all day lol. Could see this place on a top 10 worst courses.

Rooms are by no means luxury. Most of the staff is pleasant until you deal with any middle aged white woman.(karens) bar is nice, food is decent, driving range is pretty good! Course is decently maintained, I think they should school their patron on golf etiquette, but overall I am satisfied with my experience!

One of the most impressive visits I’ve had in a hotel. Normally quiet hotel was packed full of hurricane helene refugees. Place was packed. Talked to manager when we checked in early in the day and he was allowing people with pets to get rooms even though they have a no pet policy, just to help people out. Good food in the clubhouse and even though it was packed, service was great and the food was tasty. Manager was on u til late at night checking in people running from the storm and there early the next morning. We had a small issue with a slow drain and Maintenance fixed quickly. Super quirk…

Really gross room. The staff was extremely nice so this review is not a reflection of them, but for the price you pay, it'd be nice if the floors weren't greasy and dead roaches removed. It is what it is though. Used to be $115 a night would buy you something nice but much like renting and buying a home, prices are overinflated. My grievances aren't with the front staff, rather it is with the owner of the property that doesn't even live in Dothan.

I grew up around this hotel, and it has provided me with some awesome memories until now. The management there is very rude, Mr. Frankie who manages the rooms is very rude and does not give customer service. I guess if you have plenty of money to spend and are high status, he accepts you. Two thumbs down.

Nice golf course for 9 or 18 holes. It's reasonably priced with a nice driving range too.

Great course to learn on, the cart paths are the only thing I would say need some focus. Greens just got sand put down so the grass is taller and they aren't rolling as fast. Fairways are in good shape the T boxes are GUR right now. The driving range is great to go and learn your swings on. They will give feedback to you right there. Enjoyed my day

This place is a dump. The room was moldy and disgusting and the windows were missing locks. The door to the room looked like someone tried to break it off. The air conditioners mounted in the walls didn't work very well. The manager looked at the a/c units and said they would fix it right away and never came back.. there solution was a fan that was covered in greasy oil film and smelled like burnt grease. We decided to leave the hotel early and the manager kept arguing with me saying they don't refund money for any unused nights. Had to argue with the to get our money back. The bathroom was di…

Came here from FL to dodge Milton. I don't travel often and haven't stayed in lodging for 30+ years. I'm quite satisfied for the price I paid. The staff- from the front desk to housekeeping and the groundskeepers- were all friendly and empathetic. Good ol' southern hospitality. Didn't golf, but the course looks challenging. A couple million spent on soundproofing the rooms would be an improvement. Definitely need double pane hurricane windows to quiet the highway noise. Still, I'm not hard to please and the staff here made me want to return. Soon, I hope, as the people of Dothan are old-fashio…
