In summary

Dutch Elm Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, friendly and accommodating staff, and enjoyable layout that offers a good challenge for golfers of all levels. The venue is also appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere and additional amenities like a clean clubhouse and reasonably priced food and drinks. However, some visitors have noted issues with course conditions during wet weather and have mentioned that the pricing can feel high relative to the course's condition at times.

I’ve been playing at Dutch Elm since I was a kid, and it’s still one of my favorite places to golf. The course has only gotten better over the years—well-kept fairways, smooth greens, and a layout that’s fun whether you’ve played it a hundred times or it’s your first visit. The owner, Jeff, is as down-to-earth as they come and always makes you feel welcome. Dutch Elm isn’t just a great course, it’s a place that feels like home. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area

Our daughter' baby shower was so delightful at Dutch Elm. The venue was perfect, the staff were accommodating to everything from the table/chair set up, borrowing some saran wrap to ice and trash bags. It was a lovely well lit room with a dance floor that we'll have to enjoy some other time! Kudos to Dana for her quick responses and super communication. We love Dutch Elm.

This is a nice course with a relatively forgiving layout. Greens are generally small and crowned making approach shot distance control important. Like many other courses, the wet weather is a challenge for soil types without a lot of subsurface drainage. In great shape overall with consistent greens and well cut fairways. Recent hot weather has dried and hardened substantial areas of the fairways. Greens are in good shape. 8/24

Expected a pristine course for the money we paid. Teeboxes were terrible-dirt and weeds, Fairways lousy. Greens just okay. Cart paths were 90 percent dirt and throwing dust constantly. Not able to use the driver on the driving range and people were teeing off closeby. There wasn't a flat spot or much grass to hit off of either. The prices in the pro shop were very high also. Lousy place to play- pass it by and go to Sanford Country Club.

Course was in very nice shape. Greens were a little slower than what I've been used to, but in very good condition. Cold was was available all over the course on this hot and humid day. My round was paid for by others so I do not know any pricing. Looking forward to returning.

It is a pretty good layout. Enjoyed the starter for the day. He didn't pair us up with anyone. I went with my son and just wanted to be with him. Since I don't live in Maine and this was my only experience golfing in Maine, my one complaint would be the price. I thought for the price, the course would be in better shape. Perhaps that is just the going rate around here. $50-55 per person with cart would have been enough.

I’ve been a member here for a few years now. The staff is kind and accommodating, the greens are always mowed, and the clubhouse is enjoyable. I also love that you can look into the green from the back porch - it’s a perfect place to sip a cold drink after a hot round

Played 3 rounds in the past 3 weeks with my Golf Buddies and today, I played with my hubby and son. They were so impressed with the course, the Greens are in such good condition, shows the owners care! Can't wait for the Chip and Sip to start so I can meet more people at this very friendly Club!
