An hour drive to play here and I was not disappointed. The course was about empty, it was 100 degrees with 119 heat index. All else was great. Its challenging, yet very forgiving. overall the course is in great shape. They've put a lot of money and effort into the course and it clearly shows. Great scenery and lots of wildlife. I will absolutely be back

My family and I come to Myrtle Beach every year and we’ve played just about every course in the area. This has got to be the best golf course we’ve ever played. It’s was gorgeous to look at, simple but just challenging enough that we could never get bored of it! We will definitely be back before we leave in a week and we will be back the next time we are in the area!

This is a great older course with a challenging layout that requires good course management skills to navigate successfully. No houses to be found, but plenty of birds! Greens were well-kept, fairways and tee boxes a little spotty but overall a solid course. Oh, and the staff was quite friendly. Good value for the price, I would play it again.

Eagle Nest was an incredibly fun and well maintained course to play. The staff was very friendly and up front about the current conditions of the greens (freshly aerated, slow greens due to heavy rains, cart path only, etc). Shawn and Carl were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning to this course again!

Great course, great staff and even a great price. Greens run slow, but overall, it's a really nice course. And like I said, the staff is really great. My 11 year old son played there two days in a row and wanted to come back again…

Eagle Nest is a beautifully manicured course with friendly and welcoming staff that made the day even more enjoyable. The layout is both challenging and fun, offering a good mix of holes to test your skills. While the pace of play was slightly slower than ideal at 4 hours and 46 minutes, it was still manageable. Hole 18 really stands out—an intimidating par 3 with water dominating the fairway and sand bunkers guarding the green. A tough finish, but a memorable one! Here, you will play and also learn history. Founded in 1971 by longtime public servant and visionary Dick Elliott, the course w…

I played Eagle Nest for the first time this morning. It was a wonderful experience. From the gentleman who took care of my bag, the starter and the ranger were all gracious and nice. The course was in excellent shape. The greens are rolled and in wonderful shape for this time of year. We played from the whites at around 6400 yds. The course is long with a nice layout, a fair amount of water, waste bunkers and greens shielded by bunkers. The weather was oppressive but that's summer SC golf. Very reasonably priced. You can tell they are putting in money, time and effort to maintain this course.…

We just found this hidden gem today! Very easy to find and the staff were awesome from loading the cart, checking in and the snack bar. Beautiful course with a great layout! Fairways and greens were in super shape for winter golf. We really had a great time and highly recommend this golf course. We will definitely be back to play it again soon!

Beautiful course, very friendly and helpful staff. I think Eagle Nest may have just nudged itself into the top spot of my favorite courses in the Myrtle Beach area. Multiple tees keep the challenge fair for every level and type of golfer, the fairways and greens were in great shape. There are plenty of shots where you had to think through your options, including some required shot-shaping off the tee. Unfortunately we only got to play the front nine today, but from what I understand the back offers all of that and more. Oh, and for the record... the wife beat me on the card, fair and square. C…

I had a group of 6 golfers that played last week. We all enjoyed the course. It is a challenging course, but very well maintained. Greens were quick and in great shape, fairway was in good condition too. Highly recommend. Good service in proshop too. Smooth check in.

Wonderful experience. Great course in excellent condition. You won’t be disappointed!!!! My new favorite golf course!!! This is an edit for this year. I played last week on 8-1-2023 and as always the course was in great shape and the staff was pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is to teach the maintenance and construction crew some basic golf etiquette. Very disturbing around greens and tees.

Longest round of my life, at 5 hours and 42 minutes. Waited to hit every shot on every hole, with back-ups on every tee, sometimes with two groups and occasionally with three. Never saw a marshal or any attempt to enforce a reasonable pace of play. Do you really need to know anything more about a golf course? If so, then the greens were nice. Take a book.
