In summary

Tidewater Golf Club is frequently praised for its stunning layout, well-maintained fairways and greens, and breathtaking views, particularly on holes near the marsh. The staff is often described as friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and occasional inconsistencies in course conditions, such as greens and fairways, particularly during adverse weather conditions.

Golf course is one of the prettiest courses I have played with fantastic views. The course was in fantastic shape after torrential rain the last few days. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in great condition. Top notch

Played 3 courses while in Myrtle Beach. Ranking 1. Tide Water 2. Man of War and 3. The Pearl Golf Links (don’t go here). Tide Water was challenging and we got to play it before all the trees grow in… Greens are challenging and miss hits are punished. Bring your A+ game with the putter, watch out for the trees and plenty of sand to avoid! Staff was friendly and the food hut at the turn was great.

This is absolutely one of the most enjoyable golf courses I have played. It's challenging yet very playable. A few bad shots here and there can get you into trouble quickly. Unfortunately I hit too many bad shots some days but this course is my favorite to date in the Myrtle Beach area. Some of the holes are in the neighborhood and others are out on the marsh. The views on I believe holes 3,4,12 and 13 are incredible. I strongly suggest taking your phone to 13th green snap a picture or two without holding up play. One negative and it's understandable due to the nature of the golf course was t…

Me and two of my buddies played here Tuesday morning at 8:20, we were greeted with a bag drop off by two gentleman who were very nice and told us about where to go for club house and range, entered the clubhouse with a amazing display of cups, shirts, apparel and more. Once we got too the front desk a man named Dave was there and was amazing, was chatting it up with us and making us informed on the course and excited to play it. The course was amazing, everyone there was nice and provided great service. It’s a little pricier but for what your getting I’d play this course once a week if I lived…

Fantastic golf course, great layout with hard and easy holes. Fairways were in great shape and big greens. Only issue was the speed of some of the greens was inconsistent with some running fast and some slow. The staff was great, practice facilities fantastic and a well stocked pro shop.

Absolutely stunning course. We had a 12 person group playing a few courses in Myrtle Beach, and this was hands down the group’s favorite. The layout was super challenging but a lot of fun. The fairways and greens were in amazing condition. Everything about the course was top notch. I’ll be returning!

I’ve golfed at every course on the Grand Strand - for 50 years now. Tidewater is easily in the top three. Why? Great greens (smooth, fast enough and they hold), superb conditions year round, friendly staff, and a wonderful layout - with many great views. Whether you live here or are just visiting, playing Tidewater is a must - you will love the experience.

Played Tidewater on June 26th after many 90+ degree days and the course was in great shape from tee to green. There are several postcard holes along the inter-coastal/marshland that offer great views. Service at the bag drop, proshop and on the course were all A+. A nice touch on a hot day was that in addition to a cart person going around there was another worker going around with ice and cold water to fill up your personal container. The only negative was the length of the round at 5 hours on a weekday morning. The root cause of this is doing split tees through the morning. After our fron…

Played this course in the summer, stunning course, an absolute gem to play in amazing condition. Wind off the water makes it challenging but fun the whole way through. Only negative experience was finding my driver head smashed in after dropping my bag off.

A true 5 star experience, everything from the service, conditions and layout was elite. Pristine tee blocks, fairways and greens made the entire round amazing. Tons of bunkers and with greens rolling at a rating of 11 made play around the greens pretty extreme so be ready for a tough round here at tidewater. Nonetheless one of the if not the best courses I’ve played. Put this on your must play list when in Myrtle beach!

I have played Tidewater for the past 30 years as it’s one of my favorite courses on the strand. But my round this past week was disappointing. The condition of the course was the worst I’ve ever seen. I know there has been a drought, but I played many other courses in the area that are kept pristine. I’m not sure what happened here. The greens are rock solid and the areas around the green are full of weeds on many holes. I still like the course and the staff, but I’m hoping the conditions will improve. Especially at the price that’s being charged.

The course was in excellent condition. Everybody was friendly and accommodating. Especially when my wife's back went out couldn't play at the last minute. It made us feel like we were back at our home country club.
