In summary

The Valley at Eastport Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting along the Intracoastal Waterway, friendly staff, and challenging layout that features elevation changes and water hazards. However, many visitors have expressed concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens, bunkers, and cart paths. Additionally, some have noted issues with slow play and discrepancies in pricing.

Nice challenging layout. Course conditions as of early May 2025 are awful. We teed off in the morning and the garbage 🗑️ cans on the course were still full from prior play. No course maintenance staff seen or any evidence they trying to clean up after overnight rain. The fairways were decent, but the greens terrible. Even the cups haven’t been moved in a long time. Lots of poa annua bumps on greens and tee boxes. Sand traps have little sand, and maybe 1 rake for 3 traps.

A once and done play. The course was terrible, no starter, dirt cart pats, greens was like bouncing a basketball. The only decent fairways (2) were closest to Highway 17, promoting the course / Need to get there act together. Call me when that is accomplished !! Marty A.

Horrible conditions. Greens absolutely suck. The only nice thing I can say is that the bathrooms on the course were clean. DO NOT PAY 64.00 TO PLAY THIS COURSE! IT'S WORTH 24.00 MAX. There are 99 better places to play. Find one.

Greens and fairways in great shape, and it's just March. I loved the elevation, considering few courses in Myrtle have much, they tend to be flatter. Varied approaches to the greens made it interesting. Cart paths were in rougher shape. The price was great! My group really enjoyed this gem of a course and will be back.

Course was in great condition. Hole #9 and #18 are tough for seniors that don’t hit the ball long enough. Both are across water on your approach shots into the green. Definitely have to play smart on those. Will definitely play there on the next beach trip.

Greens are in bad shape. Drought conditions have lowered the ponds to a smelly swampy mess that gives a bad look. Cart paths need an overhaul. Fairways and tees are in good shape for the most part.

Terrible experience. Booked a tee time for 4, but one guy hurt his back and couldn’t make it. Tried to call them to let them know but the number said this line is no longer in service. Show up the day of and let the know and they didn’t say anything, then get an email saying they charged me the full price for the guy who couldn’t make it. Course was terribly boring, crappy fairways, some of the worst greens I’ve ever seen. Avoid this place like the plague.

Stumbled upon this golf course while visiting North Myrtle Beach. A great find! Staff was very friendly and course was in great condition especially for the winter! Would play again and highly recommend!

OK, a decent course, relatively short. I would call it a golfer friendly course. The staff is very accomodating. They don't have beer carts, but will rent you a cooler for $5. It wasn't in the best shape, and you can see from my pics the bunkers were in terrible shape. The cart paths were also in terrible shape. This tells me all in all, they are short of capital. If you're a high handicapper, you will like this course. If you're a low handicapper, don't play it.

The Valley at Eastport Golf Club sits on a piece of land nestled along the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, just off Highway 17 between North Myrtle Beach and Little River, SC. The course originally opened in 1988 and was designed by Dennis Griffiths. At only 6,200 yards from the back tees, The Valley at Eastport is a course that isn’t going to overpower many golfers, however, it’s not your typical Grand Strand layout. It has always been a favorite of locals and snowbirds in North Myrtle Beach and Little River and is especially popular for couples. It’s more of a finesse course with lush tree…

Nice course in good shape with some challenging holes. The greens are moderately fast and roll true! Update on May 1st 2025, still a nice course, their greens need some TLC but overall it was another good golf day!

Course was in ok shape. But after 4 hours with still 4 holes play on a short pretty open course, notice the in front of using a tape measure on the green measuring there putts. I believe it was members with few groups for their Thursday morning game. I left and went in the clubhouse and told the gentleman behind the desk. He just kinda grin and said oh well. Never again. Only send people there you don’t like. I waited 24 hours before writing this post.
