He said they’re doing it to make more money and there’s no slowdown in golfers so avoid this place at all cost. Look at the conditions below. You’re better off not playing instead of over paying to play here

First off, course condition isn’t bad. However, for the price point (not including a membership card), it’s not up to par to similar pricing in the area. My take aways from this course; 1) pace of play is god awful, thy have poor tee time management and they send 2 some after 2 some which bogs the whole course. Took me almost 3 hours to play the front 9. 2) pricing is a bit high for course condition and similar in the area. 3) “san Diego resident card” which you pay $40 for but need if you want a discount off your golf.

Even if every other golf course in SoCal is booked, DO NOT COME HERE. I’ve played every course in San Diego and I’ve never been treated WORSE than here. Bad experience start to finish. The starter did not believe we payed our fees, even though they don’t give you a receipt and the proshop messed up our check in, essentially calling us liars. The worst was the marshall Armando who AGGRESSIVELY YELLED at us when we were on the tee box. Staff always polite and helpful. That being said if you are from out of town or in town you are do NOT want to pay $150 for this very normal golf course. They are out of their skulls with this price and having their own special special version of a resident card that only works at their place and only saves you $11. Played course on August 11th, 2024. Course has great amenities such as driving range, chipping, and putting greens. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They also have a marshall who drives around often along with a cart girl who you see at least twice. As for the course it is a very good layout which can be challenging and punishing if you don't shape your shots correctly. Conditions of the course are pretty good. If this place had the passion for having a good driving range and well kept course as they do for the dress code. Please have a look at the range mats I took pictures of. I felt like I was hitting off of the concrete there is hardly any turf it’s ripped and has no option for tees. There are maybe 15 driving range boxes and they are ALL terrible. Used to be one of the best golf courses in Chula Vista. The prices have increased far beyond the actual value you get for playing, the driving range mats are rock hard and you can't even get a tee in there to stay up, the range balls haven't been updated since 1999, patches of the course are still ground under repair for over 10 years... rate is at $150!? I was sitting in my patio, enjoying the sun while one of the golfers hit my window and shattered glass all over me. I caught the guy while I’m looking at the window and I yelled at him. This is a really nice challenging course. Lots of hills and plenty of water hazards to satisfy anyone's daring nature and the greens were decently fast once they dried up later in the day. I have to take some points away for a couple of reason. The first is that the golf carts were terribly slow and I mean my foot was on the floor and it was barely moving, second the "sand" traps if you can call them that were either hard as concrete or literal quick sand, and lastly the fairways were a bit spotty, but that is the price of playing in Southern California.

Course conditions were reasonable, fairways a little patchy for October but greens were nice and running 9/10. Carts are nice and new, driving range is off of mats but ok. Pro shop is pretty well stocked. Staff was decent, not super attentive but did an ok job 👍

Today my friend and I — both of us having played this course more than 15 times — were completely blindsided by their new “resident membership” policy when we went to pay for our tee time. I booked online through their website at a rate of $71.49 per person. When we arrived, they told us that price only applied if we were new Enagic Membership San Diego County Residents. I recently visited the golf course with my children, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience from the start. The man at the counter was impersonal and downright rude. He sized my teenage daughter up and down to make sure she was wearing the "proper" attire, making us feel uncomfortable right away. Once we got to the course, my kids were enjoying themselves hitting off the grass, only to be publicly called out and embarrassed over the intercom by the same employee from the pro shop.
