In summary

Edgebrook Golf Course is appreciated for its friendly and helpful staff, as well as its suitability for beginners with a forgiving layout that lacks bunkers and features shorter holes. The course is noted for being well-maintained overall, though some visitors have experienced issues with the condition of the tee boxes and greens, particularly during peak times or after heavy rain. While the course offers good value, especially with a Forest Preserve pass, some golfers have expressed concerns about overcrowding and etiquette among younger players.

Today was my first time playing this course. The course is well maintained and the greens were emaculate. It is a wonderful course for beginners. There are no par 5's and the par 4's are not extremely long. There are NO BUNKERS, I've never seen that before. The staff was great and helpful and made me feel right at home.

Wonderful fall golf ⛳ experience. This is probably the lowest scoring 18-hole course in the region, but still has several very dramatic holes such as hitting a green 20 ft above on the other side of a sharp ravine and water, or hitting over a stream from a low cliff. Pretty well maintained, though position of the red tee box can be arbitrary and aggressively forward. Blue tees are usually from a hitting mat, so everyone has a good excuse to play from the whites and put up happy scores. very friendly and helpful staff. really great value for Chicago land area since it is part of the Cook Co…

Played this course once with some buddies. Yeah it's not a Trump course in vegas but you can still have a great time here if you're more of a casual golfer. Actually a pretty big course and well kept enough where it doesn't feel like bad maintenance affects the game. A fun course.

Played this course with my 12 year old. Busy on a Sunday evening with tweens with no supervision. They kept driving balls behind us before we were on the green almost getting us a few times. I finally had to lay down the law. Then there were other groups of teens that slowed play because they were not picking up their balls when after their 8th shot and still not on the green. I have never heard of so many fours in my life. The greens were in terrible shape. If you want to play at a tween/teen hangout with crap greens and narrow course with new players with balls coming in every direction and…

This was by far the most poorly maintained golf course I have played. The pictures speak for themselves, but it was so terrible. The ground was rock solid and half of the tee boxes were turf mats..... To pay $30+ for golf and get driving range mats and a desert to hit off of is a rip off. 1/100. Would never go back.

This is a very nice 18 holes as far as challenging but not too hard. Also very big course. Only reason it doesn’t receive 5 stars is because the fairways are kind of tore up also some rough greens. They are making repairs so once done I will definitely change to 5. Update they have repaired a lot of fairways and have the course looking nice changed to 5 stars as promised.

Good neighborhood golf course for practicing. Mats used for teeboxes, shorter golf course, no practice driving range. Sometimes it floods when heavy rains but they do a good job at mechanically removing the water. Overall, I recommend it for practicing—it is worth it for a quick game.

Perfect course for beginners. Short holes, flat greens, no par 5's. Don't go if it rains more than 2 inches the night before, as multiple holes will be flooded. On a perfectly sunny day it's very pleasant.

Might be the best 15 dollars I have ever spent on a golf course! The cheapest I have ever paid and some of the most fun I have ever had. Greens are solid and course is fun. Staff was amazing too! Truly a 10/10 experience and can’t recommend it enough 🤙🏼

I’ve played Edgebrook a handful of times and always have a great experience. It’s a solid course with easily one of the friendliest staffs around. Just the other day I was very late to a tee time thanks to city traffic. Tim in the pro shop and the starter Mike couldn’t have been more helpful — Mike even drove me out to meet my group on the fourth hole. That kind of hospitality is rare. Like any busy public course, pace can slow a bit during peak hours and the tee boxes show some wear. But the fairways and greens are in great shape, the staff is awesome, and I always enjoy my time golfing her…

Growing up in the area, this was a decent affordable course to get your swings in. Now it's an over priced mud hole. If they're going to charge these rates they should at least get rid of the mats **Update** When I posted this review I had paid $48 with a cart. A price that's comparable to some of the better course around. I now see their prices have came down. $38 with a cart.

Me and my 14 year old son are new to golf and have come to this course a few times. Unfortunately this last visit was not pleasant. The cart attendant Tom rolled up on us at the 1st green and became extremely combative and hostile immediately. Being new to the course we were unaware we were expected to pair up with another twosome that was behind us. When I informed him we were unaware he continued to berate me and act like I was lying to him. The twosome we golfed with one of them it was their first time golfing and the female was clearly shaken from him berating her also. I’ll be back to gol…
