What People Say

In summary

Falls Village Golf Club has seen significant improvements under new ownership, with many praising the course's layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff. The practice facilities, including the driving range and putting green, are also well-regarded. However, some visitors have experienced issues with customer service and slow pace of play, and a few have noted inconsistencies in course maintenance. Overall, the club offers good value, especially for weekday rounds, and continues to work on enhancing its facilities.

We need to get this rating up. I used to love this place years ago until the conditions became unbearable and I refused to go back. After reading more recent reviews I decided to give it another shot and I’m glad I did. New ownership has invested in the course and improvements and it showed. Greens were great, grass in places where there used to be none, and tee boxes were solid. It’s a fun layout with nice staff. Glad to have this course back in the rotation.

I needed some practice only, so this rating is for the practice facility: driving range and large putting green with wide fringe for chipping. The range was great, with several target flags to hit towards. The grass was in good condition. The balls were a bit eclectic in brand and inconsistent in distance. The practice green was very large with several flags and holes, and sloped areas as well as flat. It and the fringe were in great shape and hit and rolled true albeit a tad slow for my taste. For a course open to the public, I was favorably impressed and will be back again.

We reached out to the pro regarding hosting our second annual Charity Golf Tournament and never received a call back after being promised by staff that they would ensure that he call us back. I asked to speak with management and was always told that they were unavailable and a message would be passed along to them. If they didn’t want our business, a return phone call stating that would have been nice. Leaves me to wonder what about our organization warranted being dismissed in such a manner. Poorest customer service which is why I rated them 1 star.

There are a lot of old bad reviews of this golf course. A LOT has changed in the last few years. New traps with nice sand. The traps were all spun and in great shape. Greens are firm and fun. Fairways and tee boxes are decent, and talking with the pro shop it sounds like they are still working to improve overall. The staff were helpful and friendly. For the $$ its a great track!!! Going back for a 2nd round today

Rude rude rude! Booked a tee time for my birthday - 2 - maybe 3. Was told, no problem we are fairly open. Showed up to play with my two sons and the rude old guy at the counter tells me sorry we have you booked for 2 and we have you paired with another 2-some. As if I am supposed to tell one of my sons they can't play. I am not one to post negative reviews so I emailed their pro and submitted my feedback via their website but since neither had the professionalism to so much as reply to my messages this is my last resort. I grabbed a biscuit on the drive home and got better customer service at…

This course has improved over the last few years. The greens are in great shape and all of the bunkers are fixed, and the fairways are in good shape and improving. All of the new construction has not taken away from the course due to most house being built well away from the course. I’ve always really liked the layout as well, not too hard not too easy.

Great course and facilities. Easy to book tee times online. Friendly service and golf carts are nice. The neighborhood around the course is growing, expect temporary construction and cart paths. Highly recommend!

I'm learning how to play golf and this is a great course to play. The holes give you different levels of challenge for everyone. The staff it's very friendly and helpful. This was my first time here and will definitely come back to play again. I'll add more updates on upcoming visit but for the moment, I definitely recommend it!!!

Had an amazing time playing there, beautiful course layout and the greens got repaired so they are getting growing back and getting the perfect speed and roll. The best thing about the course is the open no-mats driving range, only good driving range I have found without mats which is actually good.

The course has recently made a lot of changes for the better. Greens were rolling true and fast, and bunkers are fantastic, having me dreaming of a day at the beach. Course layout is challenging in a good way and one of my personal favorites in the Raleigh/Durham area. The head pro Lucas is an absolute class act mate, I’m talking top tier customer service and very accommodating to my groups needs. I will be returning based on customer service alone for another great enjoyable round of golf.

Priced for good not great conditions. The fairways were in very bad conditions and the sand bunkers were grass pits….Worst ever won’t be back until it gets a lot better. Tried to find a cart that was. Not ripped and or taped……

Great Value for a Weekday Round I played Falls Village Golf Club after 1 PM during the week, and at $36, it was an incredibly affordable round. The course conditions were decent overall. The greens were reasonably top-dressed but still played well. Some of the tee boxes could use more attention, and a few fairways needed work in certain spots, but given the price, it's hard to beat the value you get here. The bunkers looked like they were recently redone with fresh sand, and they were well-raked, which was a nice touch. There’s a lot of construction going on around the course with new housin…
