In summary

Fire Lake Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, challenging layout with water hazards, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both casual and seasoned golfers. The staff is generally noted as friendly, and the amenities, including a clubhouse with a bar and slot machines, are well-received. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course management, citing issues with overbooking, slow pace of play, and inconsistent customer service.

I want to be clear up front, I am not a golf snob. I have only played about five courses total, but out of those five, this was easily the worst managed and most confusingly laid out course I have experienced. The course itself is not the issue. The grass was in good shape for December, the carts were fast and worked well, the food was reasonably priced and pretty good, and the one employee I interacted with all day was friendly and helpful. The problem is the complete lack of course management. Our 11:03 tee time did not actually start until around 11:30 because the course was clearly overboo…

Been going over a year considering it’s the only course that is public in this town and Every time I pay 44 dollars and it seems like the course never gets updated or taken care of it’s been cart path only since I’ve been playing it’s sad would definitely recommend driving the 15 minutes or more to the city to play.

Great staff and prices. Only 2k a year for green fees with cart and only 300 to add family members. About 12 of the 18 holes have water hazards and plays like a proper links course. I highly recommend this course for play and membership.

The front desk was absolutely rude. The course is nice, but I will not be returning.

I enjoyed playing this course for the first time as it was plenty challenging for my skill level of a high handicapper. The club house had every thing needed to play a round and a kitchen that makes very good Indian Tacos! Once we receive enough rain that will be a good thing as all the courses are needing it badly in OK. To be fair, I will gladly edit my star rating!!! Again, loved walking your course, your hard work shows.

Came on Masters weekend, played on Friday. Greens were full of ball marks and very poorly taken care of. Fairways barely contained grass at all. Course Marshall stayed behind us on 13-15 and watched us like a hawk. We made 4 hours and 30 minutes pace of play, which is really good for a busy weekend. Drinks were expensive and there wasn’t even a cart girl. Worst golf course I’ve ever been to. For the greens fee I paid, I’d expect better.

Always an amazing course. Long Shots Tour had a great time playing and hosting the Shawnee Shootout there this weekend. 23 Birdies out of 17 Players and a Net 62 was posted! The course is in great shape too.

Beautiful course, but never open. Automatic ball dispenser isn't even hooked up. Why do they rent a ball dispenser for range balls, and not put it to use?
