The course's scenic setting and amenities, such as GPS-equipped carts and nearby accommodations, enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, inconsistent course conditions, and high fees, particularly when the course is not in optimal shape.

This course was amazing. Very well kept and manicured. The rough was tough but fair. Greens rolled really nice and the staff was very accommodating. Even had some fun with the guys in the pro shop with the Mizzou vs Kansas Rivalry. I would highly recommend making a trip to Firekeeper!

I did not enjoy my experience. Played it on a Monday and they had under 2 inches of rain on the weekend and the course was water logged (ie, poor drainage). On top of that, there is no first cut of rough. You need to stay in the fairway, otherwise you ball is almost unplayable. Rough is too high for a resort course in my opinion. Course layout is nice however.

One of the best courses I’ve ever played. Hands down the #1 or #2 ranked course in Kansas depending on who you believe and it’s deserving of both. This gem stay and play brings groups from as far as St. Louis and myself from OKC and if you are within the area you have got to play here. Tee boxes and fairways are insane. Greens are tough so bring your A game. If you hit it off the fairway make sure you keep an eye on it as the blue green fescue will hide your ball. I found dozens of balls within inches off the fairway that others just couldn’t see. 😇 Tip: if you shoot around the high 80’s or hi…

Course is in great shape, as expected. The service was friendly inside the clubhouse and the cart folks. It's definitely worth the trip for our guys' weekend.

Fun round and unique track. It can play more difficult than the rating and slope leads on with the winds on exposed holes, but fairways are wide and conditions are phenomenal. Great experience from start to finish!

Absolutely loved this course. Friend and I tee'd off at 9:30AM on a Thursday and finished in about 3.5 hours despite getting a little backed up on the back 9 (had to wait about 5 minutes on every tee box on the back). All of the staff were friendly and happy to give us advice and ask about our experience. The highlight is the golf course itself. This is the most difficult course we've played in the area. Every hole presents a shot that makes you question your club choice because there are so many well placed hazards. There are several holes with greenside bunkers in the front of the green, wh…

$159.00 for pea gravel greens. They aerate with gravel. Wish I took a photo. When I complained to management, they said this was normal and no one else complains.

Nicest course I’ve ever seen. Such a great staff as well. Had a minor inconvenience and they were quick to jump on it and wanted to make it right. Loved the whole experience for our group.

I thought course was really nice and very difficult. There were no tee markers out and the bunkers need some attention. Otherwise I would have rated a 5. The clubhouse staff is great!

The course did not meet expectations. Front desk and bar staff were very nice and welcoming although the course was over rated. The prices for the actual golf was outrageous. For 100 dollars on a Friday in September after Labor Day Weekend, the course is full of water, dead spots all over the tees, fairways, and greens, and water coolers do not have cups on a 90 plus degree day. Holes 1-7 were in great shape. Holes 8-18 were in very rough shape and quite disappointed.

There's a reason this course is ranked #1 in the state of Kansas. A challenging course, but also very ENJOYABLE. Major kudos to the staff, very friendly, and after a week of heavy rain the course was still in great shape. Even though I lost a ton of golf balls on the back 9, I loved the way the holes were designed. I found it was best to stop worrying about my score and instead take in all the sights and sounds the course had to offer.
