What People Say

In summary

North Topeka Golf Center is appreciated for its well-maintained nine-hole course, fun Toptracer range, and knowledgeable staff, particularly the new manager who receives positive mentions. The facility offers a variety of activities, including mini-golf and a gym with 24/7 access. However, some visitors express concerns about inconsistent communication, unwelcoming staff, and maintenance issues in the mini-golf area. Additionally, there are reports of freeloaders using the driving range without paying and occasional cleanliness issues.

I’m normally not a review guy but I felt like I should do this. It was a moderately nice day in Kansas and I wanted to hit some golf balls so I went here. The place was closed because of the flu and they didn’t have coverage. Some random guy explained that to me, that is how I knew why everything was locked. I went to the driving range to see that all the every bucket by the boxes were full of golf balls. I would’ve gladly paid the $5 for the 30 golf balls that I hit because I am a golfer and had a thought in my mind of how to fix my swing, instead they were closed but I got to work it out and…

We love this place BUT it’s very frustrating when my son and I spend $50-100 here and then freeloading thieves just waltz up the side walkways and use the driving ranges for free. Why should we keep spending money if these bums are allowed to bring a family of 10 up and just steal time? We may just drive the hour to Overland Park and another driving place where paying guests are appreciated.

Kristi I believe they were called was was very hard of hearing and I had to practically shout to communicate, and would sometimes just be ignored.

I’ve had a disappointing experience with Great Life. Their communication with clients is seriously lacking—they do not respond promptly and fail to follow up on important issues. Even when there’s a problem that clearly requires attention, they won’t call to personally talk to you or make an effort to resolve it. This lack of professionalism makes it hard to trust their service. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this gym to others.

Great nine whole course that they've put a lot of work into over the years. The toptracer range is fun if you feel like you don't want play the course and just work on your swing. Has a chipping and putting green, and mini golf for the kids

This place is pretty bad ass. Got a membership at great life so we all came and checked it out. I was pretty impressed. I been to top golf in overland park and to be honest I would chose TopCITYGOLF over it.. The young men inside were really knowledgeable about everything, prices etc. Hats off to all them. We ended up playing Putt Putt but we're coming back soon for the driving range. Not alot to do in Topeka and always drove past it... Now I could kick myself in the ass for not going to check it out sooner

The new manager, Ryan really goes above and beyond. Very nice guy. Knowledgeable in golf. Great with staff and patrons. Worth the trip back -because of him. Wish the rest of the employees were like him.

Got the membership specifically for this location with the mini golf. We came together as a family with kids under the age of 10, gentleman at the front desk was not welcoming at all, did not give us a run down of the place or all the separate sections. One of the kiddos was in the "putting area" and created dents, and the guy was rude in telling us what the area was after failling to tell us at the very beginning, the kid was reprimanded by us and we all only stayed in the mini golf section. Yes, the kids ran around outside and yes most likely were loud and we even spent a good chunk of money…

My wife setup my birthday party here and I have to admit I was halfway impressed with how it worked. Definitely provided us with at least 2hrs of entertainment. We will come back again, only this time I'll have my own clubs

We did the mini (putt putt golf). It was ok, but it did appear that some attention is in order. A larger variety of colors of golf balls, and longer putters for the taller folks would be nice. Would be great if some trees, maybe a park bench or two, were added to the golf course. Overall, we enjoyed it,had fun, and our 6 year old golfer thought it was great

We're not the best at golf but we had a great time. The holes were easy to follow. The path for the carts was a little bumpy and muddy in spots. Also the greens were patchy but probably because of the time of year.
