Course was playing great. Greens were a little rough Was actually a good pace for with all player on the course.

The lake shawnee golf course is always in excellent condition, especially for a public course. Yesterday I played the course in freezing weather 12/12/24 and as usual the course was fantastic...very little leaves, rough/fairway/greens were immaculate. Best of all, it was only $28 (with cart) to play 18, or really as much as you want. I cannot recommend this gem enough. Thank you shawnee lake crew for all the hard work in less than optimal conditions, along with being friendly, professional and flexible. Finally Sincerely, Justin, Lawrence golfer

Very nice course on lake Shawnee. Many great views as play along side the lakes edge. Be sure to arrive early enough to use the bucket of range balls included with your round of golf. This was our first time here, but we will be going back.

It's a decent course. There are some good hills and interesting holes. It's definitely worth playing. The green fees were very reasonable. Has a nice range. Has a nice restaurant and bar with places to eat indoors as well as a deck.

Gorgeous course! Hole 2 is tricky but the views in this course are simply beautiful. They had recently aerated the greens and put sand down making putting a little tricky but I can't complain as it shows they take care if the course. Carts are great, drinks are flowing, we didn't see a cart girl but going inside to grab drinks wasn't an issue. We also received a small bucket of balls each to warm up with on the range, not a usual practice as courses so nice bonus. We'll definitely be back and we'll play later in the day as it was much quicker not fighting the kitchen pass crowd in the morning.…

Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Just wish the fairways had grass on them. I'm not a lawn expert. But, it's a zoysia grass fairway that appears to have been cut to short to survive the winter.

The course is nice, although not super challenging I will admit. I like that they offer a very affordable range plan—wow. Sold me the minute I asked about it. They offer training, individually and in groups, for all ages. Can get a tee time online sometimes for practically nothing. Great atmosphere, the employees are super friendly. The food is well-priced and tastes well. I wish you guys would put a cover over the range! I was super surprised there wasn’t one. Although apparently your membership works at all (3) of their courses, but I haven’t been to the other two. Great bang for the buck…

I just moved here from Houston a few weeks ago. Played the course both Saturday & Sunday this past weekend. Pros: -awesome layout with plenty of undulation/blind tee shots from the blues. Extremely friendly staff Price was great ($50) for a peak hour round of golf. Cons: -greens: I’m sure once they recover from aeration. /over-seeding the greens will be amazing. A little sandy at the moment.

I give Lake Shawnee Golf Course 5 stars based on the other options in the Topeka area. It's a challenging course that's usually in great condition. If you want to play the best public course in Topeka, go here and maybe Cypress Ridge after that.

Very nice public golf course. Normally well manicured. Not too expensive. Full size driving range, nice putting green. Course can take a while to play depending on time of year.

Decent course but there was no one driving around with drinks or snacks on a really hot day. Plus their vending machines didn't work. Have to bring your own water.
