Course is a good lay out rough tee boxes, and probably the worst course management I have ever seen. They severely over book, cause massive slow down, waiting 5 minutes each hole for the group in front that is also waiting. Would be great if you could just play and not sit. Its just stupid.

WOW! What a great change. The club house has been remodeled with tables and a bar downstairs. Fitness has new treadmills, recumbent bikes and other equipment. Golf course is in the process of opening the large putting clock behind the club house. They also have the only practice sand trap of the Topeka Great Life facilities. Amanda and her staff along with Jason (golf course) and his staff are and have made great changes. If you have a concern visit with Amanda,Jason or a staff member they will try to work with you. STOP BY AND CHECK IT OUT!

I had a tee time for 6:24 AM on 5/31/2025 and was deeply disappointed when I found my group and a couple others waiting for the clubhouse to open. The employee did not show up until approximately 6:50 AM. FAST Forward to the 11th hole, we see multiple people setting up for a tournament , we quickly then get confronted by a maintenance worker with a terrible attitude. He simply states “ you all have to stop NOW” we ask “why” and he replies “ there is a tournament happening and you can’t be in the middle of it, go talk to the clubhouse if you have a problem but I’m officially kicking you off the…

I have been working out here for years and yes there have been ups and downs, but currently, Amanda is working really hard to get the place up to par. I am excited to see improvements being done and the place feels clean and getting renovated. Keep up the good work. As for the Golf course, I don't golf often enough, so unable to comment.

It is a gym and it works. That’s where the good stops. Equipment is constantly down and conditions are questionable. Customer service is pretty bad, me and many of my friends have a great time sharing stories about being yelled at for petty things. Wont let me cancel the membership until February. If you just need a place to go workout for 20 minutes a day and that’s it this is probably your best bet but any other situation I’d recommend any other gym in town.

3 times this year I've booked 18 holes online and I show up to half the course being closed. This last time we were 2 holes in and then kicked off. Neither online nor in person said anything about the closure.

Really beautiful golf course. I’ve been going here for a couple years now and the fitness center is great overall as well. Basketball court and most equipment in great condition, but I will say that it seems that when a piece of workout equipment goes down it takes forever to be fixed/replaced.

Scott is such a toxic person, everyone in the gym including other staff is always on edge and slightly annoyed because he constantly has an issue with someone or something. On days other staff are working is always a great experience and overall a good time!

Not the first time the same older gentleman has been unreasonable and very rude. I pay for a family membership and this morning had a 720 tee time. Now while I know I was only a few minutes early after waiting at the desk for no one to be there for 3-5 minutes I thought it helpful to get a cart key and atleast get that part handled while waiting on someone to be at the desk. As I come up and around this guy is yelling at me, not letting me speak, I told him I was inside and waited but he argued with me then took my cart away and told me to “find somewhere else to play” well at the other course…

I do like it. Only downfall. Too many machines, weights, and benches in the 2 side rooms. People need more space to do their workouts on Mats etc. Some patrons don't follow Gym etiquette, but that's not Berkshires fault.

My feedback of GL after 2 months of use. Full disclosure, I did have a year membership just prior to pandemic. In 2023 there is no reason to treat customers in any way other than with convenient and transparent processes. For the price for "family play everything," I do not expect top of the line. In fact, I'm ok with charging more if I can get a few things improved, including online membership management. For those wanting to know (because it definitely isn't transparent) you pay for an annual membership that runs April 1 through March 31 the following year. It is prorated but always runs tho…

Although the equipment is somewhat decent (they always resemble second hand or yard sale quality) people get offended when you train to failure. I even had a trainer who complained that I racked my barbell (after a set of squats) too loud. In exhaustion i told him that i was trying to get in one last rep. His response was "well do less reps" - that's when i left. In addition to; because I was tied to a contract I tried to physically come in an pay extra in cash to later discover that that money just sits as credit AND IS NOT APPLIED TOWARD MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP DUES!!!!
