In summary

Foley Golf Course, also known as Gulf Links, is praised for its affordability, friendly staff, and suitability for beginners and families, offering a fun and approachable layout with a mix of par 3s to par 5s. Many appreciate the course's condition, particularly the greens, and the convenience of its location near the beach. However, some visitors highlight issues with rough tee boxes and occasional unfriendly service, noting that while the course is not the most luxurious, it provides good value for the price.

Great course. Everything is in great shape. Fun and challenging course. Always fun playing here.

One of the cheapest courses around but still not worth it. I'm all for "you get what you pay for" when it comes to golf.... But $41 (with cart) for a fairly rough PAR 64 is too much. I can go at a legit par 72 for $20 more and have a better experience. I will in the future. At $30 I'd say you're starting to approach a good value proposition. Shame too... Affordable golf for below average golfers is a rare thing anywhere near here.

Gulf Links Golf Course is a great short course, especially for beginners and kids. The layout is very approachable without feeling boring, which makes it perfect for learning the game or playing with younger golfers. The course was in good condition, (for December) the price is hard to beat, and the holes aren’t too long or intimidating. Overall, it’s a fun, relaxed place to play and an excellent option for families or anyone just getting started with golf. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating.

This is a rough course. I am a terrible player and don’t look to play at high-end courses. I am also from Chicago and I have seen Cook County forest preserve course that are 10x nicer than this course. Even Edgebrook in Chicago is better, which is saying a lot. I took my 15 year old here while on vacation in Orange Beach. The tee boxes were pretty much sand. Some greens had weeds. For AL I was expecting friendly service. Not the case. This place is cheap but by the time we had to rent clubs, get gloves and balls it was a $200 excursion which I regretted going. Also- they have a driving range…

We’ve been playing Gulf Links for over 20 years. Reasonable prices, the driving range and easy play keep bring us back. If you’re a beginner, preparing for tournament play, or just want a quick round while on vacation… it’s worth it. You can probably leave your drivers in the car. Easy, fun course.

Visited course with my son. The guy in the pro shop was incredibly rude. We ended up going to another course which worked out good. With other options in the area, I can’t think of any reason why somebody would want to play this course, especially how this staff treats it’s customers. There is no upside to this place and there are other great options close by.

I love Gulf Links, being a resident of Foley it has become our weekly course. I play, my son plays, and now my wife has played her first ever round at Gulf Links. It is not the longest course we have played, but it is certainly a challenging mixture of Par 3s to Par 5, with the best price in town. Let’s be honest, the short game is something everyone needs to work on. After reading every review on this page, I think people, including myself need to realize one or two small issues do not out weigh the positives of this course. The greens are better than five “nicer” courses I have played in Ba…

This course was fun and surprisingly challenging. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The tee boxes were a little rough in spots, but the rest of the course was in super nice condition. Highly recommend!

Traveling with friends. Looked for a place to golf while staying in area. Price was great. We really enjoyed the course. 3 a 4 par holes only. Nice distance for us. Course was clean and well laid out. Greens had just been aerated so a little rough but still playable. Staff was friendly and efficient. Carts were great especially with attached coolers. Played it twice and would definitely go back.

I took with two young men that haven’t played much golf yet, this course was perfect. This course is not the nicest you will find, but it is priced right and is challenging, especially if you leave your driver in the bag. We had a great time and the staff was friendly. We will be back.

It’s not the nicest course you can find, But this is how I came to 5 stars. The Staff is very friendly, the prices are very reasonable, the carts are nice and have a built in cooler, the courses isn’t so packed that you can’t enjoy playing at your skill level and it’s a shorter course so you can still find the time to do things with the family. Also it’s 10 minutes away from the beach.

Great track for the money in this area! You use every club in your bag. It's a challanging par 64 round. Great people.
