In summary

Soldiers Creek Golf Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, reasonable rates, and family-owned charm, with many visitors enjoying the course layout and overall experience. However, there are consistent concerns about the condition of the greens, which are often described as rough or overrun with weeds, and some visitors have experienced issues with pace of play and inconsistent course management. Despite these challenges, the course is seen as a good value for the cost, especially for those who prioritize a welcoming atmosphere.

Played in early March, fairways were sparse, some greens had poa annua and pretty bad. Course layout was fine, sand traps were okay. Tee boxes need some grass. I played early just after 8:30am and finished in about 2 1/2 hours. No one to hold me up! That was great!

Played today 26 Feb 2026 course wasn't worth $65 in Savannah area would be a $40 club greens are in bad shape hard as rock and bounce over the weeds. The fairways don't have much grass but is understandable for the time of the year. I would look for another course in the area.

Play here!!!! I Come to gulf shores from Missouri for christmas, got a round in with my mom and shot my best round to date. I am a former greenskeeper- honest review. The rough is well rough, could probably use some watering, same with fairways. Some very lush spots however. Greens have been taken over by poa annua, theyre on top of it howver, its been treated. Bunkers are very well maintained and soft as heck! Imo. Beautiful course, family owned so thats a + in my book.

Family vacation with 8 golfers, the great value with very reasonable rates for a well kept course. The staff (Blake) was very cordial and pleasant to work with. We went there because of the cost and the course was as good as the course we used the day before at half the cost. We will see you next year

Nice course. Doing great job with improvements on course cart paths and clubhouse. Some greens are rough. Would have gave higher stars but when we golfed there Tuesday 3/3 the guy closing up was very rude. We had tee time for foursome at 1:30 for 18 holes. Course was busy and everyone had waits. We played the first 9 stopped for bathroom break and bought drinks and snacks to go from clubhouse. We finished at 5:40. Man came up to us at our car and asked if he could get our carts as he wanted to go home and the course closed at 5:30. We told him there was still another twosome behind us. Wasn’t…

Had a fantastic time playing with my wife out here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The course layout is great and we really enjoy the laid-back play of golf. We will be returning to Soliders Creek for sure!

trouble with using the website to book the tee time. We had the confirmation number but didn't show up in the golf shop. They did get us out without a problem. Nice layout, greens were a little rough. Showings signs of possibly winter kill.

Beware of the greens. Played there on Tuesday and they are rough! Should be about a $35 course. We had a group of 11 and played 36 holes which ended up being $113 after tax which after seeing the condition of the course was very unfortunate. What you see on the practice green is what you see on the course. Other courses in the area didn’t have this.

This course isnt horrible, but the website pictures and the actual course itself are two totally different golf courses. My biggest complaint is the lack of awareness and control of the pace of play. Ive golfed here seven times since December and only twice have we teed off on time. Even if you do tee off on time most of the time it doesnt matter because the golfers that golf here spend 15-20 minutes per hole. My gripe today that led me to review this course is due to having a 1:32pm tee time and after the first hole we sat with the group in front of us and behind us while a high school team…

Have played here the past two days while on vacation in Gulf Shores. Very impressed with the course, the superintendent and his crew are working extremely hard to bring it greens back to life from a tough winter storm and it shows. All new carts are a pleasant surprise. Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Majority of the greens are in decent to good shape, being cut on the high side, while allowing the remaining affected patches from the winter to recover, you can be aggressive. Pace of play has not been an issue over the past two days as a single player. Really like the clubhouse, belie…

Will continue to update regularly. check dates for latest info. The course is decent. Putting greens have had some weeds growing this year. All the way through summer. Though still one of the better courses for the money. update 9/1/24. We play here weekly, and I can say they are still improving the greens. Hoping they can bring the course back to it prior form, but it's not that bad currently. update 11/5/2024 irrigation systems have been fixed so the course is looking better and better. Update 11/9/2025 The course was in HORRIBLE shape. The fairways were long. the rough is getting out of…
