In summary

Fore-Way Golf Course receives high praise for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice for both casual and serious golfers. The course features a straightforward layout with a few challenging holes that add to the enjoyment, despite being only 9 holes. Some visitors have noted issues with dry fairways and occasional pace of play concerns, but overall, the course is appreciated for its welcoming atmosphere and good value.

GREAT COURSE and I belive home to one of the greatest holes out there. I love the 4th hole. where if you make a tidey 150 yard shot to just the right part of the fairway you are rewarded a chance to fling out of the forest to a beatiful giant green. I've played here 3 times so out of a total of 6 attempts I have managed this feat one time. I'll be back to try again. I feel bad I didn't leave a review the first time I played this place, cause it's kinda the reason I've come back (as I live about 2 hours away) I was in the middle of relocating from Denver just driving through, no thought of golf…

You cannot play golf on this course. It is like playing on concrete Yes the greens are in pretty good shape but otherwise you cannot get under the ball and you have to just skirt the ball along with your club to get anywhere very difficult to play. My advice is to shut it down for a year and get it into shape. It was not a fun experience. Yes everyone was very friendly everything else is great but it is not fun playing there.

Friendly staff. Best pricing in Effingham. Only 9 holes which is a bummer because it is a fun course. The greens are a bit more challenging than I'd like but practice makes perfect. The downside to renting a cart is that a lot of the course is cart path only, even on dry summer days. Great course for good players and a good course for average to low tier players. Their driving range is great as well.

Pleasantly surprised after passing through area and had my sticks in the car. Not much trouble on the course, plays pretty short even from the tips. Course is well maintained, greens and fairways are in good shape. Obvious owners take pride in their business.

Had a nice time playing this course while in town for business. Though it was only 95°out it was fun to walk it. Lots of water. Several holes are real challenging. Will definitely be back. Great rates and staff as well.

Usually love our experience here. Brought my mom's bf, who loves golf, but new to area here. Hole 2. We hit par hole 1 and bogied 2. Were told to hurry bc 4 groups showed up. " I know its a nice day, but." Is not okay. We golf. We Play. We were not goofing around. And golfing a dang good day. Cardinal will get our business next!

Please give these guys your patronage. They are so pleasant and really try to make your visit as nice as possible. The course is pretty straight forward but has a couple of really challenging holes. Well worth playing.

Very casual 9 hole golf course. No strict dress code. Good for a short outing with some friends. Reasonable prices and decently well maintained course overall.

Well maintained course for being public. 9 holes but play 18 & it feels like a full 18 hole course. Price reasonable compared to other public courses & in much better shape.
