What People Say

In summary

Eagle Creek Resort is frequently praised for its challenging and scenic golf course, which is well-maintained and offers a variety of wildlife sightings. The staff is generally described as friendly and helpful, and the course is noted for its excellent layout and reasonable pricing. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about inconsistent customer service, lack of amenities such as water on the course, and occasional maintenance issues with practice facilities and sand bunkers.

The golf course is nice. But you guys need to get rid of your curly headed, grouchy, teen age office kid. We have had horrible customer service experiences with him at least 4 times.

This course is honestly one of my favorite golf courses. I play here whenever I camp in Shelbyville and every time the course is just in amazing shape. The people up front are super friendly. The price is excellent for the condition of the course that you're getting. I mean the fairways, the first cuts around the greens, the greens themselves, The tee boxes, and even the maintaining of the forestry around the course is exceptional. If you're within an hour of this place and you're not playing here pretty regularly you are really messing out. I played here about a dozen times over the past 5 ye…

We enjoyed the golf course. It is tight lots of trees and dog legs to maneuver around. Was in pretty good condition considering we’ve had no rain for weeks. We saw lots of deer and some turkeys too. Will go back again

EDIT: Went back for 18 holes today. I arrived an hour before my tee time so I could spend some time on the range, only to be told that there were no range balls available. Maybe the range was too wet to pick? And no, there is no putting green. There was no water on the course, either, which is tough since you don't pass near the clubhouse at the turn. Frustrating. Other than that - again - course is in really, really good shape. Had heard about this place for a long time and finally got to play the front 9. I’m telling you, it was in FANTASTIC shape. With a little tlc for the traps, it would…

Nice, challenging golf course. Monday's deal of 18 holes with a cart for $25 is a good deal. The scenery was excellent and the greens were maintained well. There was some improvement that could be made in the cutting of grass, but as good as most in mid-Illinois. The one negative is the need for water on the course. It was 93 degrees and hot as blazes and there was no drinking water on the holes, like offered at many golf courses. The 18th hole, played from the whites or blues is an extremely long tee off and most fairways were narrow, so you better hit it straight. Not for someone with a weak…

Nice golf course with an impressive layout. Would’ve gotten 4 stars but they have no pro shop and the course is in pretty bad condition the times I’ve been out there lots of dry dirt and sand patches on greens and fairways and no putting green to practice on they have a driving range but they don’t always have balls. They do get a plus for having a drink cart though been playing golf since I was a child in central Illinois and only course I’ve seen have one also get a plus for posting tee times on golf now so deals are almost always available but their prices aren’t bad to begin with. Will pla…

A very nice golf course The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in very good condition. The layout / routing was nicely done with enough rolling landscape to keep it interesting. I suggest that you have a rangefinder or a gps when you play this course as the tee boxes are not well marked and the fairway yardage markers can be hard to find. I would definitely play this course again and again.

My husband and I was visiting my parents and we decided to play this course. The staff was very friendly. Stacie ended up meeting us outside when she seen us come up and asked how did we do and how did we like the course. We told here that the course was great. It was challenging and fun. As we were playing we seen tons of deer walking around. I told the husband that we will have to play this course again when we come back up in September. If looking for a course for all different types of golfers from beginners to pro. It would be a course to play if your in the area. We will be back in Septe…

This is a great course and in response to the 1 star review saying the members ruined their fun- I am one of those members. Their fun involved driving right next to the greens and on tee blocks after being told not to, taking range balls and using them on the course, spinning the carts out in wet spots, not following cart path/90 degree rules, etc. This is not fun, it’s disrespectful and ruins the course.
