This is a very nice course. I would guess those that use carts would rate it 5 or close to five. The greens are pure. The fairway grass is consistently good. The layout is beautiful. The front nine and a few of the back are a links layout. I didn't take many pictures to give you the right kind of feel for these holes. There are a couple hole in the woods that makes for a nice variety. I played the mixed white and blue tees thinking I like 6500 yards. The blues are 6700 ish. I found that a lot of the holes were annoying because drives of 260 were too long for the dogleg. I would have been bett…

A fabulous golf course! I'm probably biased as this was one of the courses I learned to play on. But I love the native grasses, the views, and the interesting design. Good modulation of degree of difficulty by playing different tees. I think it's an excellent place to enjoy 18!

This was my 4th and last time to visit this course with my Granddaughter playing in the IHSA Golf Finals. It is a beautiful place and the people who work there are very nice. It is well maintained. The greens are beautiful and some of the scenery makes you feel like you may not be in Illinois.

Great course! Back nine much different than front. Staff were friendly and I felt the course was in great condition.

Horrific shape. Burnt out areas everywhere. Some holes had dead spots on the tees from not ever moving the markers. Multiple tee boxes completely lost. 50$! For this course is an absolute joke. Won’t be long until it’s closed as well.

Ok layout and good greens. But pond water used to irrigate made me gag. It smells so bad you hate to see the sprinklers go on. Honestly I'd rather they kept Wildwood, the 9 hole course. It had more character.

Played today 8-10-25. What a total disgrace this golf course has become. Massive swathes of dead tee boxes. Bumpy, inconsistent, patchy, pockmarked greens. Bunkers are a joke. Still pay full sticker for this joke. $47.50 be ashamed Decatur Park District. Foliage garbage.

Had not played here in a few years. This course is very nice well laid out and challenging. Great time had by all. Recommend trying it for yourself.

Terrible experience. We were going a reasonable pace and were rushed by two employees. 8 of us with two separate tee times finished 9 in 2 hours. We were not going slow. 4 of us in a scramble shot 38 which is 2 over par. It's a nice course but it's forbidden to play patiently and efficiently. The clique of regulars who think they own the place needs to be tamed. If you want us to go faster, provide carts for free.
