In summary

Foxboro Golf Club receives praise for its affordability and the presence of wildlife on the course, offering a pleasant setting for some golfers. However, many visitors express dissatisfaction with the course's condition, citing issues with the greens, tee boxes, and overall maintenance. Additionally, the club's ride-along policy and management's approach to pace of play have been sources of frustration for several patrons.

Clearly not the first review to write about this, but the ride along policy is insane. My husband and I were excited to golf there and bring our young daughter along to enjoy the weather out on the course with us for Mother’s Day weekend. All people on the cart need to be active golfers, which I guess includes my 10 month old daughter. It’s okay! Took our business somewhere else that is accepting of families (wasn’t hard to find—shame on this place). Won’t be back and telling everyone I know to go to one of the other dozen golf courses in the area!

I mean it’s $15, but course is in horrible shape. Greens are combination of dead patches and long fuzzy grass. Fairways are tight and barely mowed. Course design is okay. Some elevated tee boxes are fun to hit off of. Favorite part of the course is the wildlife you see all around. Extra star just for that. Tons of birds and rodents all around. Haven’t had any issue with the staff like some of the other reviews. Little annoying you can’t book online as a solo player, but have never had an issue just showing up. Will I golf here again? Probably, but definitely worth an extra $10 to golf somew…

My husband and I live in Oregon and have golfed here many times. We felt like it had improved as far as maintenance but today I was disheartened as I tried to make a tee time explaining that I would rent a cart but my cancer ridden husband wanted to ride along while I golfed. I was informed that they do not allow this anymore. All people on course must be active golfers I was told. I guess they would have allowed me to book a tee time with cart if I were alone right? This was really upsetting as my husband has few outings lately and was really looking forward to it.

⛔️ Do Not Play Here — The Owner Is Unhinged This is hands-down the worst golf experience I’ve ever had — and it’s entirely because of the OWNER. We had a 5:12 PM tee time but couldn’t even start until 5:30-5:40 because the course jammed THREE separate twosomes in front of us. We had to wait at literally every tee box. At hole 3, we stopped briefly to use the bathroom and grab a drink — and somehow that triggered the owner, who came out raging, accusing us of holding people up, completely ignoring the fact that the delays were 100% caused by his scheduling. By hole 7 (TWO HOURS in), this man…

I’m writing this at 7:40 pm. Our tee time was 5:12. They put 3 twosomes in front of us. We had to wait to tee off until at least 5:30-5:40. The owner complained about us coming in at hole 3 to get a drink and use the bathroom. He said we were holding people up. He ignored that we had to wait every single tee box because of the twosomes they put in front of us. At hole 7 the owner approached us saying we needed to speed it up because two people left due to how slow we were playing. It wasn’t our fault they put 6 people in front of us. We asked the people who played in front of us if the owner s…

I’ve been golfing at Foxboro for years and have always appreciated the laid-back atmosphere, which made it the perfect place to bring my son. He’s fallen in love with the game, and being local, Foxboro has always felt like the right course for us. We’ve even looked past the poor condition of the tee boxes, greens, and “sand traps” because the overall experience had been positive — until today. I booked a tee time for the two of us, but upon arriving, I was told there’s now a new policy: no ride-alongs, and everyone on the course must be an active golfer. I explained to the older gentleman at…

Pretty rough…greens are in awful shape, tee boxes are also in awful shape, carts barely seem to run. Course design is very boring and short, mostly super narrow fairways that go dead straight or from right to left, so if you can’t hit a slight draw you’re gonna be teeing off with an iron to lay up. The layout doesn’t always make sense so it’s easy to get lost from hole to hole. Par 3’s are pretty much all the same, a 56 or a 60 degree off the tee. Just not much variety. No driving range or warmup area. The staff was nice at least. Not their fault the golf course is a dump.

I don't think there was a single green without massive dead spots. Or a single tee box that was level... Just really not worth the price in the area. Spend $10 more and drive 15 minutes. Also being told they don't allow riders and then we saw (and confirmed) someone was only riding was a little odd...

Don't let the price fool you, you get what you pay for. The tee boxes are hard to get tees into, looks like they're not taken care of, they are not flat, alot of dips. Green are in ok shape! The layout is a little confusing, the course is very short. Carts are slow and dont seem to run very good.

kicked me and a group of buddy’s out for not “looking” like golfers, everyone had collar shirts, didn’t even make it through the first hole when some uptight worker came out saying we needed to leave for not being good enough. Please explain to me how im supposed to improve my skills if i don’t look good enough to golf.

The course has been in better shape but it's late in the season and all the courses I've played recently are suffering from a wet spring and a lot of golfers are not cleaning up after themselves. I got what I expected and the staff is always above average.
