In summary

Freeport Country Club is appreciated for its affordable rates and challenging 9-hole layout, with some visitors praising the well-maintained greens and enjoyable driving range. However, there are concerns about confusing course navigation, inadequate signage, and maintenance issues such as overgrown rough and poorly kept tee boxes. Some visitors have also expressed dissatisfaction with customer service under new management.

Good course for a reasonable price. The course layout can be a little confusing for a first timer. There are definitely some tough holes for a 9 hole golf course, but worth it.

Sweet little course and one of the more interesting driving ranges I've ever been too. I like that it's down hill. They have a great practice putting surface with multiple pins and awesome rolls to really work on putting slopes. Great prices on buckets too

This course has really gone downhill. I used to love the driving range, but the sand traps on the range and near the practice putting green are now filled with weeds. And you now have to hit off mats that don’t even have tees. The rough on the course itself is overly long and exists in places it really shouldn’t. Hole # 7 used to be a pretty Par 4 to a green nestled in the trees over a pond. That green is no longer being used and everyone plays to the ladies green now making the hole ridiculously short. Very disappointing

Affordable but, the front is a swamp. The tee boxes are poorly maintained. Some of the worst I've ever seen. One of the tee boxes isn't even aimed towards the Fairway.

Greens and tee boxes were dryer than the desert. Could not get a tee in the ground without it breaking.

Nice 9 hole course. Only things I would like to see improved would be some sort of restroom on the course and a little better signage. There were a few holes that were pretty confusing to navigate to and understand where the green is (there are 2 greens on 7). One other concern would be the safety on the 8th tee. A slightly errant tee shot from 7 could easily hit someone on the 8th tee box. Overall nice course though!

Very nicely maintained greens and fairways despite the insane amount of rain this season. The course layout is a bit confusing and the signage is not great. Overall a nice course at a very reasonable price.

I have close to 60 rounds of golf so far this year. I've played from Oak Hill to Sugarloaf. In April I thought they had opened too early and that the soggy greens would be ruined forever. However, Kevin, the greens keeper has turned them into best greens I have ever played on. While some courses greens are dry and brown, theirs are beautiful. You have to see them to believe it. Great job to Kevin. I cant wait to get back there!

New management not customer friendly. Poor treatment of golfers. I was there to purchase range balls and they sold a bag of balls to the person in front of me then refused to sell me any. The reason being that the person in front of me was there at 6:00pm and I was told I didn't make the cut-off time even though I was there at the same time as the person in front of me. I called to complain about the poor service and the new manager said it was their strict policy and hung up. There is no room for bad attitudes or treatment towards customers when the enjoyment of golf is a pleasure soiled by t…

The greens are not well kept at all, sometimes I wasn't sure if I was on the green or the rough. Good for a quick nine, but I was expecting more from a Harris golf course. Need a better greens keeper I guess.

Worst golfing experience ever. Need more signage, and no score cards. So your guessing where to go, rough way to long and flowers growing on fairway. Pay more and enjoy your golfing experience.

Fun and cheap. Conditions are commensurate with price. Pretty wet, but fun. Great training complex.
