In summary

Riverside Municipal Golf Course is praised for its beautiful scenery, challenging layout with elevation changes, and well-maintained greens, offering excellent value for a municipal course. The staff is generally regarded as friendly and helpful, and the amenities, including a pro shop and a restaurant with a large deck, enhance the experience. However, some visitors note issues such as slow pace of play, lack of drinking water on the course, and difficulties in booking tee times due to high demand.

Visiting with relatives who took us here for dinner. The view was spectacular. Who is windy and little cooler so we ate inside. Portable outside heaters would be a good idea as they had several tables. It was the end of the golf season and the lady golfers were having a Barbie farewell party all dressed in pink and very loud. We were amused as they were very entertaining but it made it difficult for us to converse. Menu choices were limited however the food was very tasty and prepared well. The inside arrangement would be better for the diners if the bar was farther away.

What a fun and beautiful golf course. Lots of contour and hills and truly memorable holes. Good pro shop, helpful staff, and a nice bar and patio for after the round. Just to mention - there isn't any drinking water provided on the course while you're out playing (available in the pro shop, nothing on the course). People don't respect or take care of the course or where they are; unbuttoned shirts, backward hats, ripped or dirty t-shirts, don't replace divots or fix ball marks. It's too bad, as this is a wonderful course to play, either walking or riding in a cart.

This municipal course is an absolute gem. It has a great layout with a lot of elevation changes and some blind shots. I like that the rough isn't exactly punitive. You can usually find your ball. Because of the layout, if you spray tee shots, you're not gonna find your ball. But you are gonna find a whole bunch of balls that aren't yours. Most of the municipal courses that I play have a hard time keeping the greens consistent. The greens at riverside are fantastic. But I did give them some feedback. They need to roll the greens so that they aren't so slow. I know that it's early in the season…

Came here just for foliage pictures and they did not disappoint. I usually see quite a few golfers in the area using this course, seems popular. The course was clean and also excellent views for patrons!

North course has a great layout, fairly wide open and is in really good shape considering how busy it is. The pace of play is usually ok, sometimes slow. Bunkers are ok, not great. Some of the staff are friendly. All around excellent value. Photo is of 17th green

The ski and snowshoe trails are groomed to perfection over the golf course right now. Get it while it's hot! ❄️

First time playing golf here. Our friend from S. Portland Tom has played here quite often. Plenty of on site parking. Definitely you need reservations as it gets used quite a bit. Popular course. The staff at the Pro Shop were terrific Gary Laflamme with acquiring a cart, paying, and good prices to play there. The course for a 9 hole was challenging and well kept for a municipal course. It was fun and very scenic to play here. Highly recommend.

This course for being a municipal, it's a very well played course and in the best condition than most courses around. to bad alot of players don't have the respect to repair divots on greens. not only I repair mine I do repair others too. great staff and great course.

I've played my share of public courses and this one is near the top. Beautiful scenery. GPS on the carts, great people and great staff. My wife and I chose it for our one round during vacation and weren't disappointed in the least. If I'm ever up in the area, definitely playing again. Hopefully I do better on the front 9.
