Freeport Municipal Golf Club

Honestly, I loved this course. Staff was great, carts were great, course was great. There were a couple of fairways that had some holes, greens were nice, overall it was a great experience. Wildlife was like nothing I have seen before on a Houston course. I definitely will be golfing here more regularly. I’ll take pictures and post them next time I go.

weekend trip with the boys comes to a sad ending when this course decides to not have anyone at the course and not answer the phone after we booked a tee time for today a week ago. no contact to alert us of any closure. won’t be coming back!

We had our LWIL 1ST Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament today and it was a Success. Thank you Freeport Golf Course for all your help.

Nice muni course. Teaming with turtles 🐢, birds 🦆, and alligators 🐊. Plenty of water. Need to throw darts 🎯 or you’ll lose golf balls here.

Great course, Tee box, fairway and green always are maintained well even during this drought. Staff always friendly and nice. More than fair pricing for golf and keep an eye on the website as they offer hot pricing at certain times. The course is pretty flat so great for beginner golfers and yes there’s a lot of water hazards with risk reward options. I definitely recommend taking a drive down to Freeport and try them out, the coastal breezes are always nice on a hot day.

Nice course, flat layout with a lot of water features. Well maintained tee boxes and greens. $40 for weekend golf is an incredible value for how nice the course actually is. The staff indoors was very friendly checking in and grabbing drinks at the turn. I was impressed!! Watch out for gators!

Absolutely love this course! Freeport Golf Course is the perfect place for anyone. You can't beat this course in terms of price and course condition. I personally think they have the best greens in the area. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Clean and fun golf atmosphere. Oh don't forget the gators lol

The greens are in great shape after winter maintenance. I can see the difference in the fairways as FMGC was once famous for being a fire ant preservation site. Vastly improved! If you fear other wildlife, like every wetland bird species, snakes, and best of all, more gators than the Florida everglades. Great photo ops, I must admit. To be truthful, none of the wildlife even give golfers a second glance. It's a fun and very affordable course and a driver's dream.

Very nice golf course excellent price great value from start to finish. No matter what level you're on it's a great place to play for a good price.
